Those were my top 3 as well!!

Oh, if you bottle feed - at least 16 bottles for when they are newborns so that you dont have to wash bottles all day!

For us, this has been age dependent.

In the very beginning: 1. Boppy Pillows (they slept IN them)
    2. Vacuum Cleaner
    3. Swing/Vibrating Bouncy Seat

Four Months until Present: 1. Rainforest Jumperoos (2) Could NOT live w/o these.
    2. Vacuum Noise CD (must use for naps- or there are NO naps.)
    3. Exersaucer with many toys.

Beginning at 4 months, Boppy pillows were no longer used. Swing was no longer "fun". No bouncy seat. Now the main attractions are the walker, Jumperoos and Exersaucer-- these keep them quite busy. Also love my Combi Twin Savvy for walks- use to have a DuoGlider and they HATED it (I did not mind it.) Oh and they DESPISED their infant carriers (Graco Snugrides). They SCREAMED bloody murder from the get go. I switched to "big boy" car seats right away and life has been a piece of cake. Now they LOVE to travel!! It has made my life easier also. I HATED those clunky things!!!!

Mine love those plastic rings too! They are great for haning above the crib/pack n play for the babies to swat at, and then you can take them down and separate the rings too! Mine always have those plastic rings.

    DH and I say:
    (for the first 3 months)

    1.) Miracle Blankets
    2.) white noise machine
3.) wedges - so they could sleep on their sides, they always startled on their backs

    For months 3 - 6:
1.) walker - I know these are "taboo" but I have a brand new one, it's safe, and I always am supervising the baby who is in it. They love to chase our dogs and will follow DH and I around the room. It's so cute!
    2.) pacifires
3.) schwinn double jogging stroller - we love it!

    1. boppy pillows (we STILL use them!)

    1. Boppy Newborn Lounger - someone is still in this pillow most of the evening
    2. Double Snap n Go Stroller
    3. Enough bottles for a full day (plus a couple more)

It's not a thing, but swaddling has been a lifesaver as well. We didn't like the miracle blanket type things, but did finally find some larger receiving blankets which we still use to swaddle at night.

This was a life saver from the day they were born up until about 6 months when they could sit unassisted in the bath.

    http://www.target.com/Safer-Bather-Infant-...chco&page=1

Our 2 exersaucers were a lifesaver with the awful reflux. It allowed them to be upright and play and not spit quite as much.

Last but not least about 100 receiving blankets that we used for cleaning up spit up. We only have about 50 now as we spit a whole lot less!
