    babies with hats/bonnets

There's the link with girls wearing the little bonnets. It was around this time that I started to wonder about them being ID/fraternal, because of photos like this. It's kind of funny that this isn't going to change our lives in any major way to find out what they are, but I just HAVE to know! It's driving me crazy!

Thanks for the comments about the blog. I think the pregnancy and raising twins would make me crazy if we didn't find reasons to laugh at ourselves. I grew up with three brothers, and we are pretty sarcastic with each other. That's probably where it comes from. Thanks for all the guesses too. I keep telling people that I can't wait to find out that they are fraternal, so that I can tell people how offended I am that they can't tell them apart! J/K

OH MY OH MY: that is for sure why everyone said Identical! Missed that one. YEP. They're identical. No doubt!!! I wish I would have seen that one before. I cannot wait to hear the results!! Post them right away for us. :) You're right about having to have humor to get through it. (some days more than others ;) ) They are ADORABLE little gals.

The girls went to bed 4 hours ago. It's 1:30am. What am I doing? Splicing together photos to make close up side-by-side shots of the girls! I'm obsessed! Let's get those results already!!!!

    close up

For the record, their ears are different looking. One has pointy elfish ears, the other has thicker ears on top like me. I noticed today that their hair swirls are different. One is centered, the other is over to the right of her head. Also, their hair lines in the front. One looks subtly more pointy and the other looks like it goes straight across. Can IDs really have these differences? At this point, I think I will be surprised with whatever the results are. I've come to the conclusion that they are both ID and frat, and neither ID nor frat. Whatever they end up being, I love them just the same. :FIFblush:

I posted earlier about my boys' hair differences, here are all of their differences (they are identical):

    1) Clay as the pointy elfish ears, Cooper doesn't
    2) Cooper's hair swirl in the center of his head, Clay's is off ot the side (differnt directions as well, maybe mirror image)
    3) Cooper has a dimple in one cheek, Clay has no dimples
    4) Cooper's face and head is round, Clays face and head is oval
    5) Clay's nose seems a little bigger to me than Cooper's

I think if I posted my boys pictures and played this game that peoole would have a hard time deciding as well (I just may do that).

I can't wait to find out the result, by the way I vote identical.

Can't keep myself away. I think they are id but different looking ID's. I don't know. That one you just put there on your blog.. it's a toss up. I just cannot tell!! UGH.

I am sooooooo excited to hear the results!! The baby on the rt has her features more spaced out than the baby on the left.. is that correct?? That's making it tricky but they look very very very much alike. I still think ID but wouldn't be shocked if they are fraternal at all.

    What are their names??

ivfbound078--i love seeing you trying to figure it out almost as obsessively as I am! I think I will be surprised with whatever the results are, yet not surprised. Yeah, that makes sense. In the side-by-side photo, baby Breanne is on the left, and baby Sophie is on the right. Breanne's eyes do seem a little closer together

The test results were received today. They are ID! Thank you twinstuff forum contributors for letting me know that I'm not the only mother of ID twins who thought for sure that they were fraternal! (though they still look quite different to me.) I have seen several comments on the site from people saying they think there are more ID twins than the stats represent, because of people like me--we were told at our first ultrasound that they were di/di, and thus fraternal. I've learned a lot since then. I can't wait for them to be a bit older so that we can watch The Parent Trap! I loved that movie when I was younger.

Your post answered a lot of questions I had. I'm told that I will be having fraternal twin girls: two placentas, etc.... DH would love ID twins--"nature's clones" he calls them. This will give him hope!

Also, I checked out your blog and was wondering what kind of stroller you have. If you don't mind answering. This is one of the tougher decisions we're facing as far as baby gear. I'm hoping to be out and about in our small town a lot this summer after the girls arrive. A good stroller would definitely help.
