At 13 weeks the tech said that she THOUGHT that they may be girls but she wasn't sure enough to stand by that claim =) Then at 18 weeks (our next appt) they were like ... YEP, girls! I don't know where in there 13-18 weeks they would have been sure ... 15 weeks may have been long enough?! How exciting!

I was 19 weeks 4 days at my first ultrasound. We really wanted to know if the baby was a boy or a girl, but we found out we were having two shy babies instead. My insurance only pays for one ultrasound unless a pregnancy is high risk, so the OB suggested the optimal time for a single ultrasound was 18-20 weeks. Of course, twins meant a high risk pregnancy and tons of ultrasounds. We finally found out at 24 weeks that they were both girls.
