When did you find out about twins?

We found out at 6 weeks.

 

my husband and i found out at 5 weeks and 5 days. this ultra sound was mainly to find out how far along i was because i got pregnant trying to switch birth controls. while in the u/s room the techs were very quiet and wouldn't let me see the screen at first. they eventually had to do the internal u/s because it was so early. that kind of hurts but it is the fastest way to tell that early i was told. then i had to ask when i see the techs looking at me kind of funny, "there's only one in there right?" and one of the techs said, "No there are 2" and i repeted my question again. and was told the same and then she showed me the screen. sure enough there was 2 sacs and 2 babies. i about flipped out and when i got to my car i cried all the way to my husband's job. i think that he was just as shocked as i was.

Well- somebody blessed us. Evidently they thought we could handle more than one baby at a time. What were they thinking?

 

We found out at 8 weeks. I had been spotting so my OB sent me in for an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. I took my sons in with me and asked my oldest (he's 2and 1/2, my other son is 18 months) if he was ready to see the new baby and the tech said babies (emphasis on the S) I said what do you mean babieS? She said there are two. Dh started laughing since he had been teasing me about it in the waiting room. I just kept saying "huh?" over and over. Completely shocked me. Since then I have been very excited though, I can't wait for them to be here!

 

We found out at 7 weeks. My OB does an internal diagnostic ultrasound for every pregnancy. She measured the first one and said everything looks great and was about to send us on our way when she scanned across and said "Oh there's another one. It's twins!" We were in total shock! Crazy thing is, my husband had been teasing me about having twins.....Go figure.

 

Welcome to TS! We found out about the twins at 19 weeks. I had a very low risk pregnancy before that so the midwives saw no reason to do an early u/s.

 

Our 6 yr old son has asperburges, he told me when we were 6 weeks. So right after he told me I was pregant. I told the doctor,who took it serious. Well he's been right the whole time.

 

First ultrasound, 20 weeks.

 

we found out at 7 weeks, at our routine u/s for IVF...I could feel it though, so it wasn't a shock!

 

We found out at 8 weeks because of an early ultrasound. I was hoping for just a fetal pole with a heart beat after having suffered from a blighted ovum 6 months prior to then. I got the shock of my life when the OB/GYN found two embryos with two heart beats.

It's now week #15 and I'm still in shock.
