We did injects/IUI so when I got the + blood test, my RE started u/s at 6 weeks. At first, they only saw one, but I KNEW there were more so I asked them to look some more, and there was!

At about 9 weeks at the first u/s. We're were totally not expecting it. We haven't been back to the doc since then, and I'm always nervous that I might have a "vanishing twin" situation. Can't wait to see the babies again or at least hear their two heartbeats.

We found out at 8w3d. It was actually my 10 week appt for what we thought was a singleton. It was just me and my one year old son. They couldn't find a heartbeat so sent me for a quick viability u/s. When she first started the u/s she said, "Looks like there is just one baby, but you aren't as far along as we thought." After finding the first baby's heartbeat she started to measure it and then said, "Here's the kicker, looks like there are two babies in there." I was in complete shock!! My husband's work is close to my doctor so I went there to show him the picture. He said, "It just looks like a blob"... I said, "Two blobs"... he said, "What?"... I said, "We're having twins!!!!"... he said, "WHAT!!!!" LOL I wish I had had the video camera.

My ob does an ultrasound at the first appointment. I was 7 weeks and 5 days along, and let me tell you it was the most surprising moment of my life. We were watching the screen and looking at the one baby and then something popped out from behind baby a. DH asked the doc what is that??? She said "oh my that is another baby" When I called my mom and told her she didn't believe me.

I told my Dr and all my close friends and family that I thought I was having twins from the moment i got pregnant. At my 6 week appointment my Dr said it only felt like one. So it went out of my head a little until I was 13 weeks and feeling a lot of movement everywhere. Than I was convinced again. My ultrasound wasn't scheduled till 19 weeks so I was going to have to wait until then to find out for sure. i did the triple screen test at 15 weeks and the results came back positive so they scheduled me fore an emergency ultrasound. So I was 16 weeks when i found out for sure. When the tech told me and said "I know" :)

We found out at our first growth u/s at 19 weeks. We were scheduled for 20 weeks but I was so anxious to find out the sex of our "baby" that I had Paul keep calling to see if a slot had opened up. Finally, they got us in a week early. As soon as they turned on the u/s machine, I saw the two heads and started crying. :D I really wanted twins so it was great to see them on that screen.

In the end, it was a good thing that we got in for our u/s a week early because the girls already had TTTS and that extra would have made a big difference in their chance of survival.
