We call our boys almost all the time: the flying burrito brothers - because we burrito'd them so much with their blankets and then we'd swing them in the air (we even got t-shirts with "the Fabulous Flying Burrito Brothers" it )

Noah: Snuggle Bunny - because he will wiggle till he gets next to some one when he naps/sleeps, he can't nap alone
Jonah: Little Man - because his hair is SO long now (at 2 1/2 months - he really needs a hair cut!)

I laugh because we are like a couple of the other PP's we haven't called them by their names yet. We just say stuff like "Where is Snuggle Bunny" or "How was Little Man's Day?"

Our nicknames tend to morph over time, so here's the general history:

Rowan Okoboji > Okoboji > Koboji > Boji > The Boje

Anneke Banana-ke > Banana Cake > Miss Cake > Cakers

Unfortunately my DH calls me SuperDude (after a hamster on the Simpsons) and I just call him "Dude."

BTW, Okoboji is the name of a lake in Iowa, and I have no idea why we came up with calling him that.

Well we have Trelise who has been shortened to Lise and the Lise-Lu

So Juliette is Lette-Lu and Madeleine Leinie-Lu!

For some unknown reason Juliette is also Moo and Madeleine Roo, Trelise is also known as the Blonde Bandit, Bandito, Sweetpea and Boo - poor kid's bound to have a complex when she grows up!

Zachary now that he is older is just bud or brother. When he was younger his uncle called him tortilla but I have no idea how that started.
Natalie is usually always called Natty we rarely say Natalie. Also Nat Nat and sometimes monster butt.
Sydney is Syd. For some reason I just always call her My Sydney
Karlie is Chubba Lubb because she is bigger than Sydney and I always seem to call her by her first and middle name Karlie Ann
For the two of them we say the girls. All my kids I have called punkin head or punkin butt or stinker butts.

hmmm ... what else sometimes comes out of my mouth. can't think of any right now =) they are all interchangeable at this point except for some reason Meredith has always been big mama even though she has never weighed more than an ounce more than Hannah ... I think the whole ounce is in her cheeks though ... it makes her look a lot bigger =)

Apple and Banana, it started when they were in utero, all the ultrasounds with twin "A" and twin "B", it seemed as though they were being graded, so I called them apple and banana instead. After they were born the names just stuck. Also I call them Miss Magoo and Monkey Doodle.

I always thought we were weird b/c we all have nicknames for each other. When we go out sometimes the older two kids will use the nicknames instead of our real names and people look at us like we are weird sometimes.

DS #1 Shawn--called Shawny and Bud
DS#2 Devin-- Dev or Devinator or Devy
DS #3 Nathan- Mister Pie ( The first time he smiled was when I called him cutie pie so the name Mister Pie has stuck. I say it in such a weird way that he loves it)
DD Natalie--Missy Pie, Miss Natty, Natty Pie

Aiden: Buddy/Buddy Bear/Buddy Boo, Aidie Bear, Bugaboo, Lil Monkey, Fussapants (he's grouchier), Chunky Monkey/Chunka Monk, & the most common: Chubba Monkey (Think we'll need to stop that soon? He's 2 lbs heavier than Conner!)

Conner: Conner-man, Lil Monkey, Midgie Monkey, Lil Midgie, Lil Buddy, & the most common: Ca-Ca-Ca-Conner-man!

When referring to them together, I call them "the boys" or "the monkeys". My husband has always called them "the turkeys" because I found out I was pregnant Thanksgiving weekend.

As with pp, I'm sure these nicknames will morph as time goes on. One thing I've never done, and refuse to do, is call Conner CJ for Conner James.

Nick names are so much fun!
Collectively I call them "bubs"- my little bubs, though Finn gets called chubbsy bubbsy because he's such a chunky monkey (another nick name).
I also call them Cutes ma-goots and sweets ma-geets.
DD calls them Mr Van and Mr Finn.
I'm sure as they grow I'll have more nick names for them!

Well we mainly have names we call both like Chicken Nuggets, Pumpkin Heads, Baby Boy though I am trying to change it to Big Boy, Bud (like little buddy)
We also call Ian (pronounced e-an) "Little E" just because it's funny he appears bigger (same weight though) then his older brother and he is bossy. Evan calls Ian "D" or "DG" which is what it sounds like he is saying and we have no idea why because he can pronounce his name...too funny.

Was going to post a similar post to this - some days I think you ladies are psychic.

We call the twins by their first and second name, kind of as if they were hyphenated. We call them that so often that their first names sound funny when said alone!!!!!!

Kohbi-Thomas also gets bubba, big boy, kobes, Kohbi-thomas-bomas (from his dad) and Mummy's Darling boy

Lacey-Gail gets her first two names said in every different pronunciation possible (it's amazing how many you can get) as well as, Lace, lacey-gail-naughty-bum, little mite and elven girl. Her Dad calls her Lacey-gail-snail.

Collectively we call them, the twinnies, the kiddie winks, the munchkins and the bubbas.

    This is a fun one!

Henry - is Mr Henry Handsome Pants - which is often shortened to Handsome Pants, 'The HH Pants or Mr Pants.

Gabriella is Ellie, Ellie Belly, Ellie Bean (her middle name is Jean), and when she's stinky - she's Smelly Ellie.

My oldest has always been known in our family as "The Girl". It sounds impersonal when I type it, but it's really not.

The rest of my family has nicknames too including Uncles named: DohDoh, Pman and Uncle Boy; Cousins named Nani; and Grandma is called Om. Actually everyone including friends and extended family now refer to my family by these nicknames.

We have a smelly-Ellie too!! Sometimes she's Smeloise. and a stinkin'-Lincoln! Or " the Lincolnator" Eloise is sometimes Ella-Bella and Lincoln is Linky, Link. I love this thread. So cute!
