We lost our twins

Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. The D&C went fine. Now I am left with emptiness and sadness that I never knew existed. DH is not very supportive, he's on with life already, as is everyone around me. They are like, it's over, move on. I have never gone through this before, and it is utterly devastating. Since I was a little girl, I had always dreamed of growing up and having twins. When our surprise pregnancy turned out to be twins, I was over the moon. I had no doubt they'd be fine, I never thought there was any risk of anything happening to them, especially after the two healthy scans, finding the membrane, all my screening coming back normal, I was ecstatic. I had never wanted anything so much in my life. I could get pregnant 100 more times and never conceive identical twins again. This was my one chance, and to have it over so soon, and nothing to show for it is almost too much. I know women have lost babies later in gestation, and I have no idea how you get through it. This is still so new to me, so I'm sure time will heal, but I know I will always look at twins differently now and my heart will ache for my babies that are no longer with me. My life is forever changed.
