My sons are fraternal and were conceived through IVF. I'm very tall - 6 feet with a slim build. They were born at 37.5 weeks, 6 lbs 2oz and 6 lbs 9 oz. I was induced.

Apparently being tall with a long torso is very advantageous when carrying multiples. Lots of room for babies to grow.

I do not personally believe that fertility meds make a difference in birth weights.

I was on my last month/try w/ Clomid.
    My frat boys were 6.11 & 6.9 @ 37 almost 38 weeks.
I, however, am considered short - 5'2ish and a VERY, VERY short torso.
Carried my to term and had zero complications. We actually had to "take them" as I haven't even started to dilate yet.

I don't think the method of conception matters, nor if they are identical versus fraternal.

Mine were born at 31 weeks, weighed 3lb4oz and 3lb8oz. They were IVF babies, but I have a long family history of women who carried twins to term. I was a special, incompetent cervix case who didn't follow along those lines.

I dont think the way you conceived matters, but whether or not they share a placenta most likely does....due to ttts lots of babies are probably smaller than they would have been, and also 2 babies are sharing one placentas nutrients period, instead of each having its own. Kwim?
