Not sure if this work but wanted to pass along a bunch of pics of some of the new cast members for New Moon. Looks like they have most of the Quiluette (sp?) tribe together. I'm getting excited for New Moon. I think it's going to be so much better than Twilight!

hope this link works, if not and you are interested in seeing the pics, check them out at www.thetwilightsaga.com

I know I've mentioned this site before but it's the most throrough one I have found if you can filter out all the annoying teeny bopper stuff.

So they did decide to let the same guy play Jacob? I still haven't seen the first movie, but I read a story about how the directors (or someone) didn't think he could look big and scary enough to be Jacob after he becomes a werewolf.

On that site you posted, the actors all seem to be smoking. I assume those are just cameos from the set and not scenes from the movie!

I know I was completely amazed when I saw just how many of those actors smoke. Very disappointing but what are you going to do?

Yes, they decided to go with Taylor Lautner. I'm really glad they did. He worked really hard to keep the part. He had to work out like 7 days a week and beef up a bit for the part ( i believe he gained 20 somthing lbs for it) but he did it and I"m so happy for him. I like him and totally see him as Jacob and greatly look forward to seeing all the great scenes between Jacob and Bella.

I read the other day that Rob Pattinson is not in New Moon much, only two scenes! I hope its the right two scenes!

Mel, I did see it in the movie theater also but I read the books after. So I was interested to see what I thought about it when I watched it again. Still liked it! :) Well, mostly still  Edward.

Thanks Melanie for the pictures, Jackson Rathbone, is so yummy. I'm getting really excited about the film, I'm pretty possitive it'll be better then Twilight. I was also suprised to see so many of the actors smoking. What a shame.

I am hopeful that the next movie is going to be a lot better too. I think having a new director is going to help big time. Didn't this director come off as a bit odd sometimes? That would have a huge impact on the movie, she was the one creating it.

I can't believe I just found this thread. I usually hang out in the first year forum but I happened to wander over here. Glad to see there are some other die hard twilight fans. I can't stop reading the books over and over again. I was disappointed with the movie, but still bought it. I hope you ladies don't mind if I join you.

I am definitely an addict, it's kind of pathetic lol! I see you live in NY. What area. I live in Westchester. Has anyone heard anything more about when the book Midnight Sun might come out. I'm dying to read the rest of it!

From what I know from Stephenie's website, she has put it on the back burner indefinitely. I assume you know some of the story of why she didn't finish it? If not here is the link to her site you can find info about what happened. Aslo if you haven't visited her site before she also has several different pieces (some as many as 4-8 pages, I think? Can't remember exactly) that are from other character's perpectives. For example there is a piece from New Moon (click on extras) that has Rosalies view on what happened when she found out about Bella "dying" and told Edward about it.

http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html

It's very sad what happend and of course her fans are desperate to read the rest but she is now working on other projects so who knows if and when she will ever finish it. Also, just wanted to let you know if you can't seem to get enough Twilight, there is a fantastic website (if you don't already belong) called www.TheTwilightSaga.com There is always a lot of good info about all things Twilight related there are forums for the books and others for the movies.

BTW, not pathetic at all. I'm 38 and I absolutely fell in love with the books and was obsessed for a good while. Fortunately, I finally snapped out of it and entered back into reality but I absolutley love to talk about it with whoever is willing to show interest

I'm right there with you, totally addicted to the Twilight Saga!!

I'm also very anxious to read Midnight Sun, the first half was amazing. Stephanie Meyer gave a interview back in Nov saying she'll start writing it again in the future. I'm going to hold out hope that she'll eventually finish the book. It's very sad what happened to her, but I don't completely agree with the way she has handled the situation. I just hope in the end her fans aren't the ones to suffer.

Nov 2008 interview
QUOTE
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Is Midnight Sun still dead to you, or can you see finishing and publishing it in the future?
STEPHENIE MEYER: It's really complicated, because everyone now is in the driver's seat, where they can make judgment calls. ''Well, I think this should happen, I think she should do this.'' I do not feel alone with the manuscript. And I cannot write when I don't feel alone. So my goal is to go for, like, I don't know, two years without ever hearing the words Midnight Sun. And once I'm pretty sure that everyone's forgotten about it, I think I'll be able to get to the place where I'm alone with it again. Then I'll be able to sneak in and work on it again.

OK, I just watched the movie last night. I read Twilight with a group of my friends, and some really got into it and are now obsessed, me, not so much. So don't hate on me, but I thought the book was "meh". Yeah, it was a breezy read, but too many nitpicks from me which distracted my enjoyment. However, I thought the movie was MUCH better than the book, and I now might go read the other books to see what happens (although I have a general idea). The movie moved the plot along much faster and I think they definitely cast the right guy as Edward . I could see, after seeing Edward for myself, why Bella would put herself in danger.

Trish- Thanks for the info. I think she should just swallow her pride and finish her book for the fans sake!!

Kelly- I can't believe you thought the movie was better than the book. The actors so overacted. IMO if you didn't care for twilight you may not like the other books because they are not as good. You'll probably enjoy the movie versions more.

Oh, it wasn't a great movie or anything, but it was enjoyable as a chick's night movie. The book, IMHO, was badly in need of more editing and I think the movie version basically took care of that. Although I was a little disappointed that the drop of blood in biology class scene was dropped, and wasn't that impressed with Edward revealing his glittering skin.

OMGosh.. I'm glad we're on the same page! The movie was suspenseful in some aspects & I was so ready to see what would happen in the sunlight.. I thought he was going to turn into some crazed werewolf or something.. I was dead wrong. I sat there like  That's it?? How lame.

I JUST GOT MY COPY IN THE MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
GUESS I WON'T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER ALL. NOW I CAN WATCH IT TONIGHT AND TOMORROW NIGHT AAAAHHHH, I'M SO PSYCHED!

hurray!!!
I have my copy too!

and even more excited about our b-day.
April 8th. Mona and I are turning 14!!!
I'm super excited.
I think we're having a pool/spa/sleepover party
Should be fun.
Except the spa part will be at home 'cause my parents can't afford to take us all to the real spa.
Still fun, though.

And maybe Jacob will come to my party (well, not the sleepover or pedicure part, but still...)
Monica is kind of mad at me because I keep bugging her to invite Jacob because he's her friend.

And then I keep hoping that she'll tell him I like him, except it would be a disaster if he knew at the same time.
I'm so confused.
Help!

Who knows. Honestly I could care less (don't mean to sound so cynical) but the life of hollywood actors and who is dating who has become so darn mundane to me. I can't keep up anymore as it changes every other day!

I think the Caius casting would be fine. Seems like everyone is going to be very young again. For some reason, I don't think of the older vamps as being that young though. Like they were in their 30s when they were turned.

You know, it's funny but I feel like I need to go back and read the whole Volturi scene in New Moon because I can't really remember any of them or their descriptions. I do think that Jane and Alec work with the actors they chose but can't remember the others. I absolutely love who they picked for Emily and the rest of the Quillette (sp?) tribe.

Funny that they didn't add Burke/Charlie in there but I sure hope he is returning because honestly, I thought he was one of the best actors the movie had!
