All though it feels like forever away, at least there is a date. We got Harry Potter this summer and then New Moon in the fall. Awesome!!!!

I really hope the keep Lautner. I really like him as Jacob. He is working so hard to play the role. It would be such a disappointment for both him and his many many fans if they changed the actor. I hate when they do that in sequels. It just makes the movie so off. I'd rather he not be AS tall or AS buff or AS old looking as he's suppose to be in the book than to completely change up the actor all together. But of course, I will see the movie no matter what!!!

I saw the movie and read the books. i lOVED it. My son and I have our own little book and movie club. This way we get to spend soem time, the last time we had thismuch fun was with the harry Potter series. I dont care if there are some variations from the book, Edward is just so Yummy.

 

Boni, that's so cool that you are sharing this experience with your son. Usually it's a mother/daughter thing but so cool to hear that your son is in to it and you can share it with him. I'm interested to hear what a teen boy thinks of these books and the movie.

We got my oldest dd the lifesize cutout of Edward..we all love it. We dresed him up on Christmas eve in all kinds of hats and shirts and posed with him and took pics. SO funny!

I just got New Moon on cd from the library, and I've been alternating between listening to that & From Dead to Worse (another vampire series). Totally recommend those, too.....but they're more adult books (not YA).

I've never done a book on cd. How does that work? Do they have different voices for the different characters or is it one voice?

I think I'll watch it a billion times, and pause every time Edward Cullen looks hot (which is A LOT!!!!) and squeel at how hot he is. Through the whole movie. Then I'll actually watch it without pausing, and continue to watch over and over and over and over and over.

You know what? I think Dakota is a great choice for that role. I can't say that I LOVE Dakota although I have loved all her performances in her various roles. I think it could work though for the role of Jane. I think I need to go back and read New Moon again (or at least the part with Jane) and see if I can really picture it.

 

I can't picture that and I just read New Moon. Sorry girls, Jane is soooo creepy to me and Dakota just does not embody "creepy".

I agree, I definitely dont see her as blond either. Dakota seems too cute.

 

I don't know...I don't think Dakota is THAT cute. I mean she is cute but not so adorable that she can only play pretty characters. Although for some reason I pictured Jane to be kind of cute. Anyway, I think you can easily throw on a dark wig on Dakota and with make up she could possibly play the part but who knows.
