Trish, reading your post is making me want to read the books. I'm not a reader at all, but the books sound interesting. I hope the show gets back on track as to not dissappoint any viewers. :good:

Oh, you really should!!! They are 10 times better then the show! All 9 if the books so far are easy reads about 300 pages, the first one is the most boring but even that one's exciting. I think you'll get hooked on the books even though you aren't a big reader. :)

AB created a trailer for the second half of True Blood season 2 for the Comic Con convention, though I would share it with you ladies.

Remember when Eric was sharing with Sookie it was a big thing that he was turned by a homosexual vampire. It really gets me when they don;t follow the book. Dexter gets me the same way. But I really enjoyed this episode and it didn;t follow the book at all :pardon:

Yeah, it was bugging me so I got the book out and reread what happened. :) It really upsets me sometimes when directors go so far off books when putting them on screen. I mean this is CH's creation, this is her art, her world, her imagination. I don't understand how people can basically rewrite what she's made to fit their agenda.

I fixed it, it should work for you now. :) Sorry!

    Last night's episode was AWESOME!

I think if AB followed the books the show would be boring, the books are based on Sookie, you need to have more going on for a tv show than 1 character.

    Wow!

So much stuff going on. So many different stories all taking twists and turns. I LOVE IT!!! Knew Daphnie was a biatch. Traitor!!! Poor Sam. He can't seem to catch a break. Interested to see how/if he gets his way out of that one. And the whole thing going on with Eggs. Very curious to see where that goes. Also can't wait to find out how Sookie gets out of the mess she's in. So is Eric behind it? That was the only thing I could think of because he wants her. I don't know. It was just so good!!! Can't wait for next week. It kills me having to wait a whole week.

Great episode!!! Sometimes I have a hard time divorcing what I know from the books versus what I am seeing on screen. Like when it is revealed that Eric summoned Lorena (who is EVIL) I had to :hush: to stop saying to DH, "But in the books Bill was working on the database for the queen and I believe Lorena found out and wanted to find out what he knew or something..." Then the whole thing with Maryanne, "but in the books...she was trying to get payment from Eric and that's why Sookie was attacked and blah...blah..." It was hard for me to sit on my mouth!
It seems like several of our beloved characters are in trouble: Jason for his indiscretion with Steve Newlin's wife, Sookie and Hugo in the basement (who turned them in, how did the Newlins know?), Sam is in huge trouble it looks like, and what is the deal with Eggs..what happened to him?
I think my favorite scene was when Andy came to interrogate Lafayette and he saw Eric's face rather then Sam's...and then Terry intervened. Well acted and really powerful. I felt for Lafayette who is obviously traumatized by his time with Eric and Pam.

I actually saw that last night...I think it came on after Entourage. Tara looks terrifying, and it looks like Eric is the one that was captured, or maybe I just saw it wrong. Just leave me wanting more!!!!

I agree that last night's episode was exciting! Poor Sam, seems like he was just finally getting to where he could relax and have some fun then Daphne turns on him. And I was surprised that Bill used to be so vicious...I wonder what made him grow a conscience along the way. And poor Lafayette...he looked so traumatized, but I thought it was hysterical when Terry was comforting him.

I haven't read the books, and it looks like I probably won't until the series is over...I could see me having the same issues Nancy. So when it's all over, maybe I can relive it a little by reading the series. :)

I feel the same way. I want to read the books but feel like it will ruin the tv experience. I know the book one is probably better but I love having the show to look forward to every week. I wouldn't want to know the story already. I like not knowing what is going to happen and it would bother me every episode if I saw it deviating from the books.

I read an article today and there isn't going to be a bubba :( Here's to hoping demon lawyers and the triplets(claude, claudine and claudette) make it into the show

:woah: I'm a little sad I watched it though. It looks like Eric is the one captured.

That's the only person I could think of? Isn't he the one that also told them about Sookie coming into Dallas? I like that he wants her because it's more air time for him (and more :spiteful: from me )

    Mine too.

 I'm guessing that's someone from the books??

So now I can't guess at all wth is going on? :umm: I guess Maryann really is after Sam eventhough she said she wasn't. The sex scenes were quit, ummm, yeah, no words. I can't wait until next week!!

It does look like Eric was the one captured, Liz :( I'm hoping I did not see correctly. But then I wondered since he is so loyal to his maker, that he is sacrificing himself in his place? In the books, Bubba is Elvis as a vampire. The story is that Elvis arrived at the hospital near death and one of the vamp workers turned him. Eric sends Bubba to help Sookie out from time to time. Shame he won't be in the show, though, because he is a funny character.

 I so would have loved Elvis as a vampire! :rotflmbo: Oh man! Maybe they'll change things again and get Bubba in there.

Ab says that he just couldn't capture Elvis like in the books. Bubba was turned a little late and was not all there in the head.

Tali, I'm not sure where on TS I read that you can get the shows online? Maybe start a thread in TC and see what others suggest, then maybe you can watch it sooner!!

I can't wait until tomorrow night!!!

:shok: I loved tonights episode!!! :woo: and what I love most is I can't tell what is going to happen next!

I'm glad Lafayette seems to be somewhat himself again. Finally, I missed him. And Godric... is he behind all of this? :pardon: Does he want Eric dead? No idea what is going on, so I keep picking at things!!

What do you ladies think? (especially if you haven't read the books because you all might know what is coming ;) )

  26. cohlee

I won't say anything because I have read the books so I don't want to ruin anything if they happen to follow the books. I will say that Godric is YUMMY! I rewound that a couple times just to see him.
And I loved the scene with Lafayette in the ladies room with the eyelash curler!

Cohlee, you are right, he is yummy. :spiteful: I would have loved rewind so I could stop on him more. :( Does Eric actually have competition in the hotness area?

I am totally devoted to Eric  but Godric is cute. For some reason he does not look like the same actor that turned Eric (maybe it is and he is just differently styled now). Last night's episode was so good. I could not believe that Sarah shot Jason! And then end with Maryanne, Eggs and Daphne, what was that all about? Even though I've read the books, Liz, Alan Ball has changed up the plot so much even I can't guess what's next! I just expect that Eric is going to be in a huge heap of trouble with Bill for calling up Lorena, since that does not look like a happy reunion.
I think I missed this one part, though (DH was talking): who grabbed Barry the Bellboy in the hotel hallway? Lorena? Stan?

Entertainment Weekly has their latest issue out on vampires with Bill (and Edward from Twilight) on the cover. Inside the readers voted on their favorite vampire and Eric won :yahoo:

Okay...THAT EPISODE KICKED BUTT!!!! Wow! It was sooooooooooo good. The only thing that confused me was trying to figure out who that was in the churc that said he wanted to take Godric's place??? It was in the preview and we couldn't figure out who it was. I don't think she shot Jason. I think it will be some sort of dream or something. I hope. But I was so happy to see how much Jason loves Sookie. I was happy to see "Jason" a little back to himself. Such a great episode that I lost track of time watching it and was so upset when it was over. UGH...I HATE WAITING A WHOLE DARN WEEK FOR THE NEXT EPISODE!!!!!!! It's so frustrating!!!

Happy to see Lafayette back as well

Wished Sam had shot Daphnie (is that mean??? LOL)

Hope Tara and Eggs figure out what's going on and can now see that she has been using eggs to do her dirty work. Probably something to do with the memories that are starting to come back to him.

Was touched that Eric cried for Godric

Loved the scene between Jessica and what's his name.

LOVE the back story between Compton and his maker.

LOVED when Godric showed up to save Sookie from that sick $%^#@#$%

I think it was Eric in the church who offered to take Godric's place :( I was thrilled to see Jason defend Sookie's honor! It's about time Jason came back to his senses. I hope it was a dream too!

Nancy, I didn't see who grabbed Barry either, I meant to ask about that or if I will just have to watch it again. :spiteful:

I'm pretty sure Sarah shot Jason with a paint gun. In the previews of the next episode and the trailer they show Sarah's husband (can't remember his name) with a green splotch between the eyes which also looks like he got shot with a paint gun.

I have no idea who grabbed Barry???

And how did Godrick just finally show up?? Looks like Eric is the one that is strapped down and it looks like it's leading up to him sacraficing himself for Godric.

I loved seeing Lafayette back to his old self, he is a riot! I still can't figure out what Eric has up his sleeve for him??!!

And Eggs...OMG!!! :shok: Crazy!!! I'm not all that upset that he stabbed Daphne, but I hate to see him turn out to be such a bad guy, although I have said it before, he's too good to be true.

And I'm starting to feel a little sorry for Andy Belfleur...he just can't get a break, well, except for his arm, LOL!!

Awww...it was a great episode, can't wait til next week!!!

:woo: Of course he did! He's so delicious.

I rewatched the episode today  and it looks like after Eric over heard about Sookie he took off to the church and Lorena grabbed Barry. Could be wrong but it's what it looked like to me.

Anyone else think Jessica is going to do something bad to Hoyt? It just seems to easy and perfect, you know?

Me too. Sookie was saying all along he was down there, she read someone's mind or something. I wonder why he was hiding?? And how was he hiding, couldn't he have beaten/eaten ;) the people to escape since he is loose? Hmmm... maybe he's in on it?

Godric is Eric's maker and a very old vampire. He's 2,000 years old and sheriff of that area (9??) in Texas... and a cutie.
