35 weeks exactly. I had a c-section. It was planned, but rushed that day due to complications with IUGR and preeclampsia.

Water broke the first day of the 40th week.
    Delivered vaginally without an epidural.
    It was a great experience!

I was 38 weeks 1 day and was induced. I had been at 4cm and 90% effaced for a couple of weeks and they still needed an eviction notice. I delivered Katelyn vaginally with the help of vacuum extraction then had to have an emergency c-section to deliver Jessica due to cord prolapse. Having recovered from both deliveries, I would say it was way easier to deliver vaginally and I had complications from BOTH deliveries. If I had to do it all over again, I would attempt a vaginal delivery in the same situation: both head down, A bigger, no known medical indication against it. The cord prolapse couldn't have been predicted.

    Hey there,
I gave birth vaginally @ 36 weeks, and I was supposed to be induced but I had pre-eclampsia and they suspected ttts so The OBGYN came in and gave me one heck of an internal exam which I think was the cause of my water breaking 20 minutes later?
lucky cause the girls did have ttts & things would have been worse had the babes not been born that morning.
They weighed 4'13 & 5'5, and only spent 2.5 weeks in nicu. Their lungs were functioning great they just weren't sucking so they had to be tube fed. They are now beautiful 3 year olds going on 13!
Enjoy your pregnancy, there's nothing like it! p

    Well, 36 weeks although i had a scheduled c-section for 37 weeks.
I went in for a stress test on the babies the day before and my contractions were regular but not strong enough. They said to call when they got stronger. I called the next mroning and asked how strong they wanted them to be and they had me go ahead and come in. I got there at 10:00 am and the doctor checked me over and said "well, how abotu having some babies at 1:00?"
They preped me and I had a c-section to deliver them at 1.

How many weeks were you when you gave birth to your twins?
    38 weeks, 1 day

Were you induced or did you go into labor naturally?
Naturally, although my dr. stripped my membranes the day before, and I think this started my labour.

Did you have the babies vaginally or by c-section?
Vaginally - actually a VBAC, and William (Baby B) was a breech extraction, since the dr. couldn't get him to turn after Eli was born. He was born 5 minutes after his brother.

    Are you getting nervous?

1.) Went in to labor during last hour of 32 weeks and delivered within 1st hour of 33 weeks.

2.) Water broke all by itself.

3.) Unfortunatley I ended up having a c-section, even though we all thought I would deliver vaginally throughout my whole pregnancy.

I was 37 weeks 1 day when my water broke and 27 hours later I was 37 weeks 2 days when I had to deliver via C-section. My contractions weren't that strong and I was only dialated to a 1 after a few hours in the hospital so they started me on Pitocin, then the contractions got MUCH stronger but 13 hours later I was only dialated to a 2, so they put in the epidural (wanted to postpone it as much as possible), the most I was dialated to was a 6. They checked my temp and it was up to a 101.4, and the water had broken over a day ago so they decided to do a C-section to reduce any chance of harm or infection to the babies. COnnor came out with amniotic fluid in his lungs and a small infection from it so he spent 1 night in the NICU on antibiotics, so good thing they got those babies out.

    1) 37 weeks 6days (morning of delivery dr checked and said I probably would have gone another 2-3 weeks easily- I told him if he thought about it, I may be up on justifiable homicide charges LOL)
    2) neither- scheduled c-section
    3) c-section

I was 36w 3d. I felt terrible so I went in. I wasn't in labor, but we were going to do a c-section three days later anyway so he just did the section that day.

I had the twins at 34 weeks, 5 days.
I went into labor (and actually had been on bed rest two months with contractions, and concerns because my singleton first was six weeks early).
I had both babies vaginally, and the delivery itself was actually quite a breeze! I feel very fortunate it happened that way.
Good luck to you, and my biggest advice is to keep them cooking as long as you possibly can. A NICU stay is no fun!! Boy-girl twins are a lot of fun!

Okay now I have more questions. lol

For those of you who had scheduled c-sections, why was that, and when were they scheduled? (I'm really nervous about having to have a c-section.)

Also, I just started my weekly progesterone shots today. The nurse told me I'll probably be on them until 34 or 35 weeks. For those of you who were on these shots, did you go into labor while still taking the shots, or a week or two after, or something like that?

    Hi!
    #1: 36w6d
    #2: scheduled c-section (so, induced, I guess?)
    #3: c-section

Ooops--editing since I just saw your followup question...

My OB (very conservative practice) did not want me going longer than 37 weeks due to his concerns about my (enormous) belly size relative to my tiny frame as it might impact on babies height and mobility in the womb. I was actually sceduled for a c-section at 37w6d, but they moved it up for scheduling reasons (no complaints on my end, that's for sure!). Try not to worry about the c-section--in my experience, the actual surgery was not a big deal, and having the babies arrive was so amazing that any discomfort was secondary. People's recoveries differ, but in my case, I was up and around without a problem within a week or so. Good luck!!!

    We were 36W3D
I thought my water broke, it didn't, but contractions were 2-4min. apart according to the monitor (I didn't feel them), so Midwife broke my membranes (induced). Dr. and Midwife gave us the option to wait or be induced and we chose induction b/c my labors in the past were so fast.

We had them vaginally with NO Meds!!!! (wait, no WE on this one..*I* had them vaginally w/ NO Meds [IMG]
