How many weeks were you when you gave birth to your twins?

Were you induced or did you go into labor naturally?

Did you have the babies vaginally or by c-section?

    thanks!

How many weeks were you when you gave birth to your twins? I was exactly 35 weeks and 3 days.

Were you induced or did you go into labor naturally? Neither... I wasn't in labor, not contracting nothing. I had actually went in for a regularly scheduled appt. and had my regular U/S, the Dr. noticed that Baby B's cord was hanging down REALLY low, and was afraid that if I were to go in labor, his cord could tear and could be fatal for him. So, they sent me over to the hospital, and they did a c-section on me the very next morning/

Did you have the babies vaginally or by c-section? C-section

Were you induced or did you go into labor naturally? induced (my doc prefers to have twins delivered around 38 weeks, and I had major swelling in my right leg due to the weight, non-pre-e related).

Did you have the babies vaginally or by c-section? vaginally, one was head down, the other was born by breech extraction

Went into hospital for High blood pressure, from a routine ob appt, was actually in labor(didn't have a clue)

Did you have the babies vaginally or by c-section?
C- Section, elected, "B" wasn't very cooperative with his position.

    1. 35 weeks 5 days
    2. My water broke
    3. I decided to have a c-section. Both girls were head down but the dr gave me the choice. Because I was terrified of having to have one vag. and then a c-sec for some reason I decided on the c-sec. Glad I did because Emma did not want to come out!

My water broke at 34w3d, I didn't start dilating or anything so they gave me pitocin to induce labor and had them at 34w5d vaginally.

    1. 38 weeks, 1 day
    2. Scheduled c-section - no signs of labor. Dr. said I would have gone another few weeks!!
    3. I also chose a c-section because I did not want to recover from both vaginal and c-section and the odds of that are quite high. I am sooooo glad I did because as it turned out, one of them was "stuck" against my pelvis and 2 doctors struggled to get him out, even with a c-section. Had I not scheduled one, I would have ended up with one anyway!

I delivered my girls at 34w1d. I was induced because of low fluid in Baby B's sac. I delivered both vaginally - they were both head down.

By the way, nice choice for a girl's name - I have a Josephine too!

Thanks for all the answers! I'm so glad to hear so many of you delivered vaginally. I've never given birth and I have no idea what to expect. From what I've heard, it seems like twins are unpredictable - they can come practically any time and who knows if you'll be able to have them vaginally or not. I don't care if I get induced or not, but I'd really like to avoid a c-section if I can!

TwoBabyGirls - thanks! [IMG] I have loved the name Josephine (Josie) for a long time now. I'm so glad I'll have a little girl to give the name to!

    1) 37 weeks exactly

    2) I went into labor naturally but needed a little help to progress

    3) I was in labor for two days with little progression so they took them by c-section

My girls were born at 35 wks + 3 days, I was in preterm labor but because I was on magnesium for preeclampsia they had to give me pitocin. Twin A was born vaginally and twin B was an emergency c-section.

    1. I was 35 weeks 3 days

    2. I went into labor naturally but after being in labor for 24 hours I was giving pitocin to help move things along. I had preterm labor starting at 29 weeks and was taking terbutline every four hours. The medicine would no longer stop labor so my ob didn't try to stop labor anymore.

    3. Vaginal delivery. They used the vacuum to get Baby B in the birth canal, removed the vacuum, and I pushed him out on my own. Labor was horrible but the delivery was a piece of cake. It took 30 minutes to push out Hannah and 10 minutes to push out Jackson.

    1. I was 34w1d
    2. I went into labor after being taken off mag sulfate just one day earlier. I was 4 cm and 100% effaced and NOTHING was stopping the contrax anymore
    3. I was c-section. My OB wouldn't deliver vag unless both were measureing at least 4lb.8oz. The u/s showed them weighing less, they ended up being 3lb.14oz. and 4lb.8oz. Baby B (the bigger one) was also breech.
