Has anyone been watching the second half of this season?
 
I've been watching on Monday nights (Sunday is True Detective) and I have not been impressed so far.  I hope things pick up.  I am liking getting to know more about Michonne, Andrew Lincoln is always doing well as Rick and Carl needs to improve his acting skills.  I don't care if Glen and Maggie get back together.  And we cannot have Darryl absent for two episodes.
Not sure what I think of the new people yet...

 

I've been watching. I like it about the same as I always have - it's never been my favorite show, but I like the suspenseful scenes. I don't really care if Glenn and Maggie get back together either. What I was wondering is how long was Glenn passed out for/how long was that other girl sitting there watching those Zombies? Was it a few hours or several days? I know this show is in a land of zombies so none of it is true to life, lol, but I was thinking Glenn should have been eaten. :laughing:

I've been loving seeing more of Michonne's backstory!

Glad to see Carol back already. That older of the two sisters is creeptastic - I wonder how long until they figure out she's a psychopath. I'm glad Judith's still alive although why oh why is no one baby wearing her and/or re-lactating to feed her?! I'm having trouble overlooking that gaping (to me) plot hole.

How long, I wonder, till we get some Darryl and Beth action??

Mullet guy's got something going on in the brain department but I suspect they've got some kind of secret they're hiding.

Terminus - haven or scam or nothing?

 

I can't remember what Terminus is - is it supposed to be the place they're all traveling to?

Knowing the Walking Dead, Terminus is not going to be what it's cracked up to be.  And I don't trust that mullet scientist one bit.

You know it takes time to grow a mullet.  Time and care.  Time and care that no one in post zombie world should have.  That makes me VERY suspicious of mullet guy.

There's no way Terminus is going to be a sanctuary. And since they've already had Mulberry (wasn't that the name of the Governor's town?) I don't think it's even going to have the illusion of a sanctuary.
 
I think it's going to be quite the opposite.

 

If it turns out to be an actual sanctuary, I will eat something with coconut and olives in it  :bad:
I saw the previews for tonight and I just keep saying "Nothing better happen to Darryl."  I don't think I want to watch a Walking Dead where Glenn outlives Darryl.  I already have to endure that on Game of Thrones.  I refuse to on the Walking Dead (insert an immature toddler-esque tantrum here).

 

Where is the love for Glenn? He's one of my favorites.
 
This season has just been odd so far. I want more Darryl. Terminus is going to be like Hotel California, "You can check out any time you like but you can never leave" and be it's own private hell. You just know it's going to be something bizarre and maybe worse than being on the run.

:bad: I don't know why I'm a Glenn-hater. I think it's because nothing about him really stands out - he fell in love with Maggie - big whoop. I won't be sad when he goes.

I have not seen the previews for tonight but I don't think Darryl is going to be killed off. Lol there would be a public outcry from all the women who watch the show.

 

Yay, they'd lose their entire female audience if they killed Darryl. They're gonna keep threatening it though. Sneaky bastards.

I like Glenn too Kim! Represent.

 

My problem with Glenn is not the actor at all.  I rather like Steven Yeun and the character had so much potential.  But the writing for Glenn just seems so inconsistent he varies from "poor me" to extremely determined.  I know the character could not stay the same from season 1 (he rocked in season 1 and was one of my favorites) but it just seems like they hooked him up with Maggie and the character just became so dreary.  Like when he made Maggie's assault from Governor all about him.  I was like :headbang: Glenn (or more facepalm)
I just think Steven Yeun deserves a better character to play.  I do hope the writing for the character to improve.  I want to enjoy Glenn.
 
Kim, I love your Hotel California description for Terminus!  That's great!  I did not watch last night's episode yet, I will watch it tonight.

 

I watched last night but fell asleep before the very end so I don't know how it ended.
 
I saw on Talking Dead that people were wanting for Beth and Darryl to hook up. I hope they don't. She seems way too young/immature for him and I think it would be creepy for them to hook up.

 

I watched last night. Zzzzzzzz. Boring episode. I hate these episodes only focusing on one or two characters who are together. Please let's move on.

 

Yes, it was a boring episode Kim.  The only saving grace, for me, was seeing Darryl having his breakdown over not being able to prevent what happened at the prison and finding Sophia.  I felt like Darryl and Beth are the only ones who are actually realizing the trauma they've been through.  But it was a boring episode.  I would not have minded finding out what was going on with the others while also finding out what's happening with Darryl and Beth.
And please no Darryl and Beth hook up.  This show cannot write romance well.
There is only what, 4-5 episodes left? I am wondering what is the point of this season so far?  

 

I keep hoping it's going to culminate in some huge event but at the rate we're going it seems unlikely.

 

So who watched last night? I am unsure of how I feel about this episode. I am thinking by now the finale is going to be where they all meet up.
 
Just glad Darryl survived. If they had killed him, this show would be dead to me.

 

I am thinking the same Kim.  It seems weird to have Rick largely absent for almost two episodes.  I kind of feel like the show is floundering a bit.  For all the build up to Terminus, it better pay off.

 

I am so glad Rick has been gone a few episodes!!!  I cannot stand him.  The season has been just blah for me...

 

Chrissy, blah is the right word.  I am glad that some of the other characters-like Bob and Sasha-are getting some development but I feel like there is no sense of urgency to these episodes at all.

 

Did anyone watch last night's episode?  I was able to catch it in real time since True Detective is over. I thought it was one of the better ones of the latter episodes they've aired.  Trust Carol to do the dirty work that needs to be done.  I was glad that she confessed to Tyrese and glad that he understood why she had to do what she did.  
I will say that Tyrese needs some character  development though.  

 

The looks on their faces when they walked back into camp and saw what Lizzy had done. Wow. Carol rocks though. She does the hard jobs.
 
Side note: I just finished watching the finale of True Detective last night. O.M.G. Rustin Cohle, badass extraordinaire. Great show.

Oh and it looks like maybe the last two shows are going to bring all of it back together? I hope so.

Yeah I guess the culmination of the season will be reaching terminus.

 

There are stories saying WD went too far killing off the kids but I think it was an important part for the show.  It was heartbreaking and an important role to play in for the show.  It will all wrap up with everyone hugging and joing at the complex.

 

Terminus is creepy. You just know something awful awaits.
 
Next week's episode is supposed to be jam-packed. It is the episode I think we've all been waiting for, or at least I hope it is.

 

I hope next episode is as jam packed as promised.  This one was boring except for the Terminus arrival.  It does look creepy.  I am glad that they did not drag out the Glenn and Maggie reunion.
I think I missed a part though, why do those guys that Darryl is with want to get Rick?  How do they know him?  I've read it in a couple of recaps but I don't remember that part.

 

I saw a rumor on fb that the people in terminus are cannibals.

And I figured out the Rick thing after talking to my friend.  Those guys want to go after Rick because of him witnessing the strangling at that house and sicking the zombies on them.  

 

The group Darryl is with are supposed to be cannibals in the comic books. Wonder if they adapted this to the show this way?

 

It is possible.  I wonder if they are affiliated with Terminus somehow?  The group leader (Joe?  I know him as Jacob Hale on Sons of Anarchy) seemed pretty confident that they are not the type of people that Terminus wants.  How does he know that for sure?
