I have a microwave sterilizer. Everyday I make bottles for the next 24 hours. We use drop ins which I think saves a lot of time not having to sterilze bottles! I put everything and the sink in hot soapy water rinse it and just put the nipples and pacifires in the sterilizer Then put inthe microwave for 5 min. while I put formula in the bottles. By the time I'm finished the mirowave is done. It works great for us.
We used a bottle warmer for awhile then we gave up and just use the microwave now.

I love my bottle warmers - I got 2 of them at a consignment sale for $3 each - they are the Avent kind. We had one upstairs and one downstairs when their bottles were small and didn't take long to heat. Then once they started sleeping through the night we put them both downstairs and I can warm their bottles in unison now.

I didn't get a sterilizer because our dishwasher has a sterilize cycle, so we use that.

i didn-t read other replies, so sorry if it's repetitive

we don't have a dishwasher, so i always sterilized mine every day (in the microwave) and still do after hand washing them, BUT if you have a dishwasher, that should do the job

i never used bottle warmers, since i always boiled our water, i would put into a thermos and use the water to prepare the bottles. if it was too hot, i would always have some at room temp as well

HTH--and GL with the rest of your pg!!

Until the girls were 6 months old, I washed everything in the dishwasher and then used a microwave sterilizer once a week. I tried a bottle warmer once, and it was a huge pain. I always made bottles up for 24 hours, so for the first few months, I had an older Crockpot that I kept on low with water in it( to bring to room temp) and I could just pop my bottles in it. Eventually the girls started drinking them straight out of the fridge.

we use room temp bottled water for formula and use hot tap to warm expressed breast milk. Bottle warms suck... we only use the one for the car. As for sterilizers, we have one that is a counter top unit and a microwave one for when I travel with the kids (i.e. they stay with grandma) I would whether be save than sorry and it only takes a few minutes... you just have to stay on top of it and don't run out of bottles.
