It's such ironic timing since, my sister is going through the same exact adoption process right now! Her and my BIL flew to St Paul, Minnesota last Wed to be at the C-section. The birthmother signed medical rights over in the hospital and they left the hospital with the baby boy (Colin) on Friday. Yesterday as well, they all met with the lawyers and the birthmother signed "termination of rights". They are staying with my cousin and family who happen to live there for the next week or so and then flying back to Pittsburgh. The birthmother legally has the next 2 weeks to change her mind but she seems very firm about her decision. Our entire family is filled with unexplainable joy and we're cautiously optimistic that all goes well until the adoption is finalized. I wish you the very same!

Actually, the birthmom picked out Caleb, but spelled differently. We had a few names in mind, but nothing seemed right. Then after we saw him and thought about it overnight, Caleb just seemed right, but we went with the traditional spelling. Jackson is my grandfather's name, and is also birthmom's last name, so we thought it was a nice way to tie the families together and honor her.

So following the alphabet A B C was unintentional. Cute.

I love the way you guys chose to keep the name birthmom chose and especially kept the tie to birthmom for him with the middle name Jackson.

I look forward to seeing more pix and hearing about how how mothering the girls are with him when he gets home.

Congratulations!!! He's just a perfectly beautiful baby boy.

After my rough pregnancy and very rough delivery, we figured we were done and DH got snipped. He 'joked' that we could always adopt a little girl from China or something if we decided we weren't done after all. I've never thought as seriously about it as I am right now reading your story and seeing your beautiful photo.
