So... for those of you who are BPA free in the kitchen.

I'm trying to figure out how to steam veggies in the microwave... any ideas?

I love being able to steam veggies in 3 minutes... not sure if I have patience for the stove...

I currently use the Pampered Chef micro steamer, but its ancient... over 10 yrs old, and I'm pretty sure it's not BPA free... not even sure how to tell... the current one doesn't mention being BPA free..

We just put them in a glass container with a bit of water and cover them.

Any glass or ceramic container, bit of water, and cover with wax paper or paper towel. Most veggies only take a couple of minutes.

I have a set of pyrex bowls that have covers with a little steam vent in the top. I got them from target a couple of years ago.

We usually use casserole dishes with plastic wrap. Frozen veggies do not need additional liquid, but fresh ones need a few ounces. Another option is a rice cooker, many of them come with steamer trays.
