I say it all the time. Everyday! My family was a very spoken emotional family. We ended every conversation with I Love You or Love Ya. With my mom, dad, brother, etc. We never missed that opportunity to say it. And I'll be the first to disagree that saying it too much takes away from the meaning. My mother passed away at the age of 44 unexpectedly. There is alot of people out there that can't even imagine how much my brother and I miss those words. Even my DH! We were very close. The twins were 15 months old when she passed and I was 5 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. They never got to know her but you better believe I also tell them everyday that their Na-Na loved them very much and she would have spoiled them rotten. They love hearing that and think it is so funny. LOL

DH tells the kids all the time and he makes sure every night he tells them and kisses them. He is not from a spoken family. To this day, they still don't ever say it to one another. I've even discussed this with them. I didn't get anywhere with it but I tried. I know my DH would love to hear his father say it to him. But he doesn't. So DH has told the kids from birth, and will continue to do it forever. We even talked about when they get older. He said it will probably embarrass them like crazy but he will. And in honesty, I don't think it will. But who knows. We'll continue to do so no matter what. LOL

But just know, in my opinion, saying it too often, will NEVER take the meaning away from it. That's just my 2 cents! :)
