My hubby has been pestering me about my weight gain recently. He thinks I haven't gained enough because, even though my belly is large, my face and legs have trimmed out. I actually look slimmer now (except for the belly and bust) than I did pre-pregnancy. At my appt. on Monday he tried to get the doctor to tell me to eat more.

At 28wks I was up 23lbs. If you add in the 8lbs I lost during the first trimester (after my first weigh-in), I'm at 31lbs total. My doc is quite happy with that.

With my singleton, I gained 20lbs through the ninth month then 10lbs in the last two weeks before I delivered for a total of 30lbs.

With the twins, I gained 65 lbs. in the 34 weeks I was pregnant. I gained TOO much...lol! My twins were only 8#6oz. combined...hahaha!

With my singleton, I gained 40 lbs. and she was only 6#13oz.

I followed Dr. Lukes suggestions and gained 25 lbs by 20 weeks (lots of double cheeseburgers and egg mcmuffins) and then by 32 weeks I had almost gained a total of 55 pounds. I did have pre-e so some of it I am sure had to do with the water and swelling. But I did have big babies for 32 weekers at 4#6 ounces and 4# 9 ounces.

150 lbs when I got pregnant, 225 the Friday before I delivered, one week later I was at 175. I figure I was carrying about 25 lbs of water by the end, and about 25 lbs of baby, placenta, etc. The rest of it took about 3 months to come off.

I'm at 25 weeks and have gained about 20 pounds so far. Actually I'm almost to my full-term size for both of my singletons (and I can tell in my maternity clothes :p). My doctor is fine with it, but I still worry a little because it is HARD for me to eat most of the time--I went straight from debilitating morning sickness to squashed stomach and heartburn. I'm just forcing myself to eat as much as I can get down and looking forward to b/f these babies when I can eat as much as I need without anything in the way of my stomach. :)

    34 + 4 days pregnant.

    was overweight at beginning:
    • 187 pounds at start
    • lost 18 pounds due to morning sickness
    • Currently 195 pounds.
So from whoa to go have only gained 8lbs.

Both babies are healthy - weighing perfect weights.... Doctors aren't concerned at all.

the past couple weeks i've been swelling up... like my legs, ankels, and feet.
I'm actually pretty active and i don't eat alot of junk... but my doctors arn't concerned.

    I gained 50 lbs.

I lost some weight in my first tri, gained 24 lbs by 24 weeks - without trying.

Just try to eat healthy! I did add a carnation instant breakfast every day to get added protein.

I never really had bad morning sickness and I am so embarassed to say that I stopped keeping track at 80lbs! I really did eat anything and everything in sight I was just so hungry. In all fairness I gained a lot of fluid weight at the end, everything was swollen.

I started out 177lbs or so when I found out that I was pregnant, and went in to the hospital at 36 weeks to the day weighing 226 lbs.
After delivery I walked out of the hospital weighing 196. After one month of breastfeeding I lost 20 more lbs. I had gained 49 lbs total and lost 50lbs after our girls were born.

    Lots of love!

I have gained 9lbs since my first doctors appointment on January 14th. With my singleton pregnancy I didn't gain any weight until a month before I had her and I only gained 12lbs for the entire pregnancy. Doctor seems to think my weight gain is normal.

In the beginning I wasn't gaining any weight due to m/s. But at about week 12 I started to gain and gain quickly. I'm 19 weeks and have gained 17lbs.

Im a believer of dr luke too. I started at 112lb (im 5'4 petite) and went to 184- yah thats a whopping 72lb gain. But I was all belly and am now 4 weeks patpartum and weigh 138. I think its better to be on the big side when it comes to weight gain for twins.

I gained 14 pounds total, but delivered at 30 weeks. I was 130 pre-pregnancy and both my girls were 2 lb. 13 oz. at birth. My low weight gain was a concern prior to delivery.
