I was 19 when I had my twins, I was married though, but my mom went to every appt. with me and helped me emotionall and physically every step of the way. I hope you have the same support system.. you will definitely need it.

yes i have LOTS of support from everyone. me && my boyfriend talked bout marriage, we just gonna wait a couple of years, and most likely have the twins in the wedding.

Just curious when your actual due date is? I think it's great that you are planning on finishing school with 2 little ones on the way. Are you planning on working after the babies are born?

the docters said prolly around march 1st.
and i dont know just yet...i might wait till they get a little bit older.
plus i babysit my two sisters and i get paid for that

Hi welcome!

I had my son when I was 17 and just about to finish my senior year. I was very fortunate to have found a school for young mothers where I lived. It had an onsite daycare for the babies and lots of good classes like childbirth classes, child development, and nutritional cooking classes. Perhaps you could find a simular school there? Also there is help as far as programs to pay for childcare while you are in school and work. Look to see what programs are out there through the Children, Youth and Family Department.
Finishing school has helped me a lot as far as supporting my son and providing him everything that he needs.

im trying to go back to school this year for as long as i can depending on whenever the docters decided if they want me on bedrest or what. then ima try to be homeschooled after that till the twins get a lil older then ill find a babysitter

What school are you currently going to? How close are you to graduation? How many more Regent exams do you need to take to graduate?

im currently going to be a junior this year. and i go to yorktown high school.

i just moved back to brooklyn to stay with family.....but i think my mom is wanting to go back and stay in westchester again

well i went to yorktown most of last year then we moved.....my mom likes it better in westchester...but i think she might just stay in brooklyn

I am not from New York so I dont know how far Brooklyn and Westchester are from each other. I was wondering if it is close enough where your mom will be able to help you when the babies come or will you just be sure to go where ever she goes?

my parents are still together but we usually come back down to brooklyn and stay and my mom wanted to live here then she wants to move back. i dont wanna move cuz lots of my closest friends and boyfriend are in brooklyn....so she is thinking about sticking it out.


my next app. is 3 weeks i think. i cant think of the date on the top of my head right now lol

 

I had my first child at 17, I know how scary that is...it's incredibly overwhelming, and having twins added to it, well, that's just even more overwhelming. Good for you for trying to stay healthy and do what you need to do...God knows I wasn't so smart then. Now I am pregnant with twins, and so excited, every day I wake up. I feel so blessed and so lucky. Just do what your doctor tells you to do, that's the best advice I can give...but I know there are a lot of mommies here that are going to give you good advice too. Good luck, sweetie!
