I don't know if this one has been in this thread yet, but it's really good:

    Britain's Got Talent...Connie

It brought tears to my eyes. AI fans will appreciate it B) and MamaKim, your heart will go aflutter ;) .

Oh, she was wonderful! Simply amazing. And yes, tearjerking. And Simon. Yes, Katheryn, my heart is all aflutter. :D

I am totally addicted to this song so thought I'd post the video as well: Paralyzer -- Finger Eleven

And since I'm a geek I thought this was cool: Time Lapse of Butterfly Pupating and Emerging from Cocoon

Comedian Jim Gaffigan on Christmas and Easter and other family holidays.

George Carlin through the years (warning: some naughty words -- not for kiddos)

Denis Leary on coffee-flavored coffee :D (again, bad words, not for kiddos)

Some classic Rescue Me moments: Checking the goods, Buttons, Sensitivity training, Probie's playing for the other team, and Tommy Gavin. IMO, best show on television, hands down. I love each and every one of the characters and the writing is terrific.

OK - I've noticed that I have a lot of KLF songs on my ipod so I thought I'd share one. Justified and Ancient - The KLF featuring Tammy Wynette

The song The Last Unicorn by America to clips from the The Last Unicorn (I guess in the sequel to the book Molly and Shmendrick get it on! :air_kiss:)

This lends credence to my mom's statement that everybody was on drugs in the 70's. The Bay City Rollers singing "I only want to be with you" on the The Krofft Super Star Hour.

My mom banned me from watching Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister and Ozzy Osbourne videos on MTV. Thanks to YouTube I can see what I missed out on as a child.

That was truly awful, Jenny. I am not familiar with them, and I think I am happy.

You poor deprived child. I grew up on Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath. And Twisted &%#*&%' Sister is a great Long Island band. ;) Those were great!

I enjoy this thread so much. Let's see what I can dig up. ;)

One of my favorite, most poignant moments on video is Steven Tyler performing Dream On at the Berklee College of Music in Boston with his parents looking on in the audience. (Dang, they took this video down!!) Oh well, here is the next best thing: Dream On live with orchestra at MTV 10th Anniversary.

Oh, and there are a whole series of these which are good snippets in time: oldies but goodies, pt. 33 - a time sweep of number one hits. I was a freshman in college in August of 1980.

And in my inbox this morning  : Toxic Twins, a photo collage of ST and JP of Aerosmith set to Last Child. *sigh* Now I can start my day right!! :D LOL, my pulse races, my palms sweat -- I've got it BAD!! :rotflmbo:

Oh Kim, that was a GREAT version of Dream On! And 80zhairmetal391's comment in the Toxic Twins clip made me giggle.

When I went to France as an exchange student we went to visit Jim Morrison's grave. It was pretty neat but all the old crypts had graffiti all over them written by fans. His grave is small - it's just wedged in there between these 2 huge vaults. Anyway, The Doors performing Touch Me. Notice that guitar player dude (forget his name, sorry) has a big ol' black eye!

This is "our song" and since my 9th anniversary is creeping up I'm feeling a bit misty. Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love I love the video, Freddie is awesome!

This is the ending to my favorite anime Inuyasha. It probably doesn't mean a lot to you guys but I love it. When it comes on I start singing my little heart out and I don't know a single word of Japanese.

I know, isn't it? The Berklee College of Music vid I was going to post is similar. Steven wrote that song when he was 17, and I can't imagine how it must feel to come full circle and play it with a symphony orchestra in style. And PS that comment was hysterical. I hadn't read that.

I love the Doors. Always have. In his college days, my DH got told all the time that he looked like Jim Morrison. I never could 'see' it. BTW, that's Robby Krieger sporting the shiner! Oh, and have you ever seen Ian Astbury of the Cult sing with the remaining Doors? He does a great job of filling in for Jim. Ian Astbury with the Doors on Conan He's got a different style but I guess why I think he does well with them is that he has that same type of persona as Jim.

And Queen is my second favorite band of all time. Freddie was AMAZING and I miss him.

Non-obsessed fans (ie, anyone else but me), have no idea how truly talented Steven Tyler is musically. His father was a classically trained pianist, and so Steven inherited much of this talent. He started out in life as a drummer, but with that charisma, how could he stay in the shadows? Anyway, I doubt anyone will watch, but here is a gem of Steven playing keyboards in concert. Chills, it gives me chills!! And had to add this as well: damp and moist. And lastly: H*ll Bent for Aerosmith (one of those old MTV promo spots). :rotflmbo:

I never knew he could play the keyboard, but he does it really well.

Damp and Moist - :good: :rotflmbo: Oh my gosh that was muy loco! Near the end of that Steven had some hair blowing across his face and I thought he was sporting a 'stache for a second! :icon_eek:

Hellbent was funny too.... ha-tooey!

Now I just need to find something non-stupid....

OK, this is in honor of 3 young friends of mine, the love Panic! at the Disco. "Lying is the most fun a girl can have" video. They have some funky vids.

Here's a band I was really into in HS. Violent Femmes "Kiss off"

Tiny Toons and They Might Be Giants - Particle Man

OK - those were all dumb, you don't have to watch them. This, however, is definitely one of my favorite movies. Basically it's the theme music of Howl's Moving Castle with a video synopsis of the movie. Basically Sophie is saved by Howl from some guards, The Witch of the Waste turns Sophie old as punishment for being interesting to Howl. Sophie goes to work at Howl's castle and becomes the "Cleaning Witch". Various adventures ensue, and Sophie ends up saving Howl and they fall in love. If you haven't seen it, then definitely rent it. I give it 2 thumbs up.

So what is it that you love so much about this movie, Jenny? I have never seen it. :)

I think the thing I like about it most is that the main character comes to the realization that she is ok the way she is. At first she feels old and dowdy and as she grows as a character and becomes a stronger personality she really blossoms. One of the themes of the movie is "You are as young as you feel". It also has a really interesting storyline and engaging characters. The animation and music are obviously top notch and there are a lot of big names that do the voices. I just think it's an all around good movie, very heartwarming without being mushy and goofy.

Sweet Child o' Mine <---- Love, love, love the song and this classic video!!!!

Welcome to the Jungle <----- Excellent song!!!!! Axl's hair always cracks me up in this one.

Paradise City <----- from the Meadowlands, wonderful if Axl ever gave himself whiplash

And because I'm in 80's hair band flashback mode, lol, have to post these two:

    Ragdoll

Dude <----- the construction worker in the beginning is Steven's ex-wife, Theresa, who is also an identical twin; the "bride" is their former A&R guy, John Kalodner -- just a bit of useless trivia :D

Wild Thing <----- how many people do you recognize in this one? :D
