Poll: Fertility Treatment Vs. Natural Occurance.

It was natural and a total surprise--we thought we were done having kids. I was 30 so I guess that is old :unsure:

Natural, ID, at 29. However, it might make more sense to do the same poll just regarding fraternal twins, since most scientific evidence says ID is not inherited at all.

 

Natural, ID girls @ 28. Supposedly has nothing to do with it but DH's mom is a fraternal twin.

Mine were natural too. I was 33, had multiple losses and was about 35 lbs over my preferred weight (I heard that can increase the odds too). I don't know if they run in my family since my mom was adopted.

I had naturally occurring fraternal twins probably due to advanced maternal age (38), overweight and recently had stopped taking birth control pills (for regulating my periods).

I am told that all three had the possibility to cause hyperovulation.

We tried for six years. I was 34 when I began AI treatments......3 unsuccessful. First IVF took right before 35th birthday and we had beautiful fraternal twin boys.

I was actually on birthcontroll pills. I was one day late and I took a test just to be funny. I was just messing with my husband, because Gavin was only 6 or 7 months old. We weren't planning on trying until Gavin was 1. BOY, were we shocked to see 2 babies in there. I even started to hypervenolate (sp?).

we are the first to have twins in the family. WE ARE JUST LUCKY.

 

Natural at 30, don't know if they are ID or FRAT. We'll have to wait and see.

Natural here, I was 21 when they were concieved. My girls were my second/third babies. Supposedly twins run in my family but what does that really mean! I don't know of anyone/never met anyone in my family that had twins they call me the lucky one haha.

 

Naturally at 32 years. They're id twins so just a freak of nature and pot luck I guess.

They do run in the family...but the closest we can find is 3 and 4 generations back on my mom's side.
