    Hi,

I was reading through your post. Could the doctor be concerned because they are so close together because he thinks they might be conjoined in some way? That is the first thought that came to my mind. I agree with the PP that a separating membrane will be hard to see until about 12 weeks or so. Congrats!

That was my first thought too and I asked him but he said no. It was be almost impossible for that to happen with twins let alone triplets. I talked to a midwife who didnt see it at all unusual that they are close togther, membrane or not. We'll see what happens July 11th

I just posted to your pictures - I have a set of mono-mono twins. They shared the same sac with no dividing membrate. But you are too early to tell if there is a membrane or not. Congrats on the triplets. My twins are now 14 months and doing great. They were 2 months early but are perfect. If would like to know more about mono-mono twins, feel free to email me.

I will for sure. Im kinda waiting until the next US to see what happens. Right now Im trying to stay POSITIVE!!!!

    Congrats...

It sounds like you released 2 eggs and 1 of them split and gave you ID twins..Do the 2 in 1 sac share a placenta? Sometimes the membrane between 2 babies is REALLY THIN so its might be hard to say right now. but i really dont know a whole lot about it..Your dr will be keeping a close eye on you, but it sounds like things are going well with their sizes and everything..

We dont know if they share a placenta yet or not. I really hope they have a membrane. THeir sizes and HB are all perfect so Im holding onto that right now.

How Wonderful! Congratulations! That's great that the babies' growth and heartbeats are well established so your chances of problems go way down. :) You'll be getting to your next u/s just at that time when the membrane should be a little easier to see so you can find out if the two babies are momo or mo/di. Momo is more high risk for a few reasons but there are lots of ladies here with momo twins. Congrats again!

Wow, congrats congrats. Sorry I can't offer any advice on whether or not that is good. If you are truly concerned, call the doctor and ask him what he meant by that when he said it. I really hope everything turns out ok. Wow, triplets!!! That's amazing! Please keep us posted on how you and they are doing.

BTW...Does this mean you will be changing your name to Nikkiof5plus3 ?? :D

:wavey: Congratulations! It is exciting. I am a new mother expecting twins and I have found some things to help: expectant forums, joining a multiples group and meeting/talking with other moms for friendship and support. The National Organization of Mothers of Twins Club has some members with triplets. Also, I have seen a website for families with triplets Mothers of Super Twins (MOST) that has a forum for expectant mothers with triplets. http://www.tripletsandus.com/triplets/expecting.htm has all kinds of info. on triplet raising and so forth. You can add those to your reptoire. I would suggest the more info. you can find on carrying and raising triplets the better. Congratulations again on being thrice blessed!
