Right now I'm loving single syllable first names. My girls' middle names are Grace and Clare- I sometimes wish we'd done those as first names. If I had a second set I might look at names like those- Beth, Ann, Joy, Brie, etc.

If we'd had boys we were going to use Colin and Nathan and I still love those.

First set Katherine Anne and Jennifer Carolyn

Second set Stephanie Sarah, Christina Louise and Daniel Richard

I got to use my second favorite set names.

If I had the option to change it or do it again I would go with the same names or go with one of the names that I loved and DH vetoed.

A third set girl names Elisabeth and Rebecca. Middle names would be Nancy after my sister and Olivia to round out the spelling of my maiden name.

Boy names would have been Timothy and Michael.

    I like very traditional names

I did joke with my triplets the other day when they asked me what names they would have gotten if they were not a girl or boy Itold them that I would have named them Stephen, Danielle and Christopher. Never would have happened but it was funny

We are definitely having 2 girls so the names we have chosen are:

    Caitlyn Marie and Abigail.

We are not sure about the middle name for Abigail but here are some of the possibilities we have thought of:

    Abigail Michelle
    Abigail Grace
    Abigail Jane
    Abigail Lynn
    Abigail Louise

My husband really likes Abigail Michelle and I really like Abigail Grace. My whole life I have had conflicts with almost every Michelle i've known and his mothers middle name is Michelle. She was a horrible abusive mother and I don't want to give her that credit. We are big fans of the Beatles so he thought of that name because both names relate to their music. So we have a difficult decision to make lol. It was never this hard with our boys we knew right away. Their names are Malachi Francis and Elijah Alexander.

Well, we give our kids only Jewish names and have a very strong tradition of naming after people important to us who are deceased. On both sides of the family, most of the names have already been 'taken', so some names are chosen because of their significance to our particular sect of Orthodoxy.

So on the boys' short list is:

-Yisroel (Israel) after my DH's grandfather who passed in November

-Menachem Mendel, after the Grand Rabbi of our sect

-Schneur (pronounced SHNAY-ur) Zalman, after the first Grand Rabbi of our sect

-Levi Yitzchak (hebrew for Issac) after the father of the Grand Rabbi Menachem Mendel

-Gavriel Noach (Gabriel Noah) after the Rabbi who was killed in the Thanksgiving attacks in Mumbai in 2008, which was the day we first met.

The girls' list is considerably shorter, being that we've already named three girls :D

    -Shayna

-Menucha Rochel- both names are the wives of various Grand Rabbis

    - Leeba, an old yiddish name that means love. DH hates it but I told him that if I give birth to 6 total girls then I get the right for the 6th girl to have the name I love :D

Generally I favor the more eccentric Jewish names, the older, weirder Russian and Yiddish ones, but DH hates almost every one of them :(

If I had had my way, my twins would be Nicholas & Jackson when they were born. Almost 8 years later and I still feel the same way. I tried to name Baby #3 Jackson but my husband vetoed that one. He wanted to name him Edward or Edwin.

For girls names, I have no idea. It's not something I like to think about.

We're thinking about Charlotte too! Our current leaders for first names are Charlotte and Allison, no middle names picked out yet. We're thinking of swapping out one of them for Cecilia though, and will probably change our minds again many times before they're born. Funny story -- way back before we had started thinking about names, we were reading a baby book that said "this week, your baby is the size of an olive," so we started referring to our baby as Olivia or Oliver. When we found out it was twin girls, I thought, okay, we'll name one of them Olivia. Then I went online and found out that Olivia is the #2 name in my state right now! My own name was #2 the year I was born and I hated how everyone had the same name as me, so we punted on Olivia and replaced it with Allison.

G/G- Paisley Danielle and Scarlett Lucille

B/B- Jackson Daniel and Colton Joseph

We had our 1st ultrasound at less than 6 wks and knew then that there were 2 babies and only 1 placenta so we never considered B/G names.

**We're having identical girls so Scarlett and Paisley it is! :)
