It's a bfp! **updated**

I don't know about everyone else, but I feel like I'm waiting for my own scan! I'm on pins and needles wondering if it's one or two in there!!

Liz it's only on the 8th of July! Almost 3 weeks away! I'll be 7 and a half weeks. My FS wants to make sure there will be heartbeat(s) because he knows me so well, he doesn't want to scan earlier and risk the heartbeat not being able to be detected yet and I freak out :blush: :lol:

I'm still convinced it's just one (our original strong embie) but Andre is still convinced it's two, lol so guess only the u/s will settle it!

 

I don't blame your FS at all!! I had my first scan at 6.5 weeks and they warned me a million times there may not be a heartbeat bc it's too early.

If it is just one and it turns out to be a girl I am going to set up a psychic hotline and make some money. :laughing:

 

I just realized you are almost exactly on the same timing we were. Our u/s was July 5 at just about 7 weeks.

 

I don't know if I can wait 3 weeks!!! :laughing: Glad it was a good 3rd beta. That always helps set the mind at ease How are you feeling? Any good or annoying symptoms yet?

I had some spotting over the weekend which of course put me in a frenzy rolleyes but my FS says it's normal and nothing to worry about (but he still had a look at me yesterday when I went for the BETA) Other than that my boobs have taken on a life of their own, really it's ridiculous, I don't know if all the hormone supplements are helping out to enhance (lol sorry for the pun) the symptoms more but it's crazy. Andre loves it but he's not allowed to touch because they're too sore :laughing: My skin also looks like a teenagers and I have cramping. I'm not nauseous but have this greasy feeling which is putting me off food (but I am eating healthy foods) I'm loving the good and the bad, I also made a promise to myself that I'm not allowed to worry so much anymore. We waited for this pregnancy so long I really just want to enjoy it as much as possible. We'll see if I'll manage to overcome my paranoia personality to keep my promise though.

 

Congrats!! So happy for you. Now praying for my sister to get these news..they been trying for 2 yrs now!!!!

I'm well thanks. DH and I decided not to go for another BETA because it just works me up. We're going to (peacefully) wait for the u/s on the 8th so nothing new to tell really! But thank you for checking in on me! You guys are awesome

Nausea seems to have set in today, Andre is all giddy about it, lol guess he thinks I've reached an important milestone! I'm also still exhausted! Loving it!

2 weeks to go! As if I haven't had enough 2ww's by now! At least this is a better wait than my other 2ww's!

I'm actually also glad it started. I might hate myself for saying that in a few weeks but it is reassuring that things are still happening :wub:

 

Oh you will hate every second of it but it is the one thing that kept me sane between u/s's and until I could feel them kick. :good: I prayed for it but forgot to pray that ended earlier too and was stuck with it until 22 weeks. :lol:

 

Oh Brenda!!! I am so excited for you!!!! I cannot wait to see the pic of your little bean(s)!!!!!!!! I feel bad for being happy that you are nauseated and exhausted but YAY!!!! That always kept me sane between dr visits too!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

My midwife told me (with this pregnancy - during which my morning sickness was worse than with the girls) that there are usually 3 causes to morning sickness:
1. Hormonal - unfortunately, there's not much to be done about it but wait it out. This usually stabilizes at the end of the 1st trimester.
2. Nutritional - making sure you get enough protein & are eating small, frequent meals throughout the day to keep your blood sugars level helps to reduce nausea (it's really counter intuitive to eat more when you feel like you're going to puke, but I found it really made a difference for me)
3. Rest - when you don't get enough rest, it makes everything more difficult for your body, so when you feel exhausted, lie down, close your eyes, take deeps breaths (and if you wake up 3 hours later, well, you're growing an entire other human being - enjoy!)

Thank you Rachel I'm definitely going to follow these (especially the resting one ) Nausea is much better this morning so seems like I have night sickness not morning sickness. One thing I seem to be devouring a lot lately is avo's, luckily they're healthy right? And hard boiled eggs! yum! Don't think it's cravings, it just tastes so much better than usual :lol:

My FS also gave me a name of a midwife which I'll phone after our u/s. I think it'll be good for my nervous personality to have someone I can ask all these questions and bounce my fears off. Will see. I'm really feeling good about this pregnancy even though we still have a distance to go but I'm almost at the 6 weeks mark! I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant, that's just so freaken amazing!

 

I didn't have too much nausea but it was definitely worse right as I woke up in the morning. I kept food on my bedside table so as soon as I woke up I could eat something before getting out of bed ( or in the middle of the night....or both!). Granola or protein bars worked.

 

With all 3 of my older boys, I had night sickness at first!! Eggs and Avo !! Lol!! What ever works!!!!! And yes it is so freaking amazing that you are 6 weeks along!!! I am so happy for you!!! I can't wait until July 8!!

 

Yeah, but you gotta figure it'd be at 3am! But, I would definitely set my alarm! Great to hear you are trying to relax some!

 

I wonder what my FS will think if I have a bunch of Americans in their pj's on skype while he does the u/s :rofl: Seriously though the u/s is at 11am this time so it'll be closer to 5am for you! You'll have an update as soon as you wake up.

I'm proud of myself, I have a cold/flu and I'm not going all paranoid about it (okay maybe checking my temperature a little too often but other than that I'm calmness itself!) I'm drinking extra Vit C and hoping it'll disappear on me. 11 sleeps to go until we see the heartbeat!

 

That's fantastic! I can imagine any pregnancy symptoms are very much welcomed!! I am very happy for you and Andre Can't wait for the ultrasound

You guys don't have summertime right? In that case we are on the same time I think. I am going to have a hard time working while checking twinstuff every minute for an update :lol:

I'm feeling much less stuffy and icky today so hoping the cold has taken it's toll and I'm on the mend!

 

I'm super late on this but WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can't wait to hear results about the u/s! And I hope the cold has gone away completely now!

I remember tho that I was insanely stuffed up with my DD - for months it seemed! My midwife said it was a pregnancy cold.....

Aww Liz you're too sweet but it's still 5 days! (u/s the 8th not the 6th ) BUT we're getting closer! :woo:

 

Nausea is good!!! Well, it doesn't feel good, but it is good! Can't wait to hear all about your u/s...not too far off now (especially for those of us who aren't the pregnant lady waiting on her first big u/s!) :hug:

I know and I actually wanted it (so I can know everything is okay) but I won't lie and say it's super fun :lol: but at least it's a little reassuring that something is still going on and that baby is probably healthy and growing!
