Hi Millie,

I actually did the CVS because the genetic counselor advised me to do it...
I am a carrier of hemophilia (when the blood doesn't clot) and boys have 50% of having it. So after I did the PGD and they started telling me that it's only 98% accurate and that I should do the CVS to make sure, I decided to do it.
I have to say that I had a bad feeling and I was very reluctant to do it... I guess I was right...

I am hoping the issues resolve. INvasive testing is a blessing and a curse I know and I am so sorry! Everytime I cuonsel someone before their testing I tell them 1 in 100 will have problems with CVS (and in our hospital 1 in 200 with amnio), and I always hope they are not amongst those who do!
My husband has an x-linked disorder (he has an eye disorder and will slowly go blind), so we knew our children would not be affected, but our girls would carry it and after 4 boys we were at the brink of saying, ok so far we have been lucky and the evil chromosome is not with us, we should stop, but I got pregnant unplanned, and now we adore our little girl, but we know once she will want to have babies this issue will come back since her sons have a 50% chance of being affected.
