Although I didn't have the fertility issues, I did find out at 14 months that we were having a surprise addition to the family. He was conceived with an IUD in place so he was bound and determined to be conceived. I luck out and don't suffer morning sickness so there would be times in those early months of pregnancy that I could literally forget about being pregnant (then the bugger started poking me at 14 wks to remind me he was in there). I won't lie, you will be tired now, and after the baby is born. Once everyone settles into the new routine you will do fine. The good thing about the twins still being young is that they most likely will still be napping, so you just have to convince all 3 to sleep at the same time at least once a day for a few minutes of "mommy time". Good luck and I can't wait for your u/s update.

Congratulations! You'll do great. My boys were 13 months old when I found out I was unexpectedly expecting! It's been a ride for us...sometimes good...sometimes very hard, but so far so good. I wouldn't trade a moment!

My oldest twins were 14 months old when i found out i was preggo again (by someone who was told he was sterile, and paperwork saying same thing) Then of course come to find out, i find out after ending up in er one night im having triplets (m/c one at 12 weeks) Then of course the donor left me. So my twins are 22 mnths apart, and i was a single mother up until end of last year. Its totally doable! And a miracle baby for you all! Absolutely wonderful! good luck1

    UPDATE!

    Hey all,

So I went for my ultrasound today at 2pm.

According to the gestational sac size I am 6 weeks 2 days pregnant. I also had a normal sized yolk sac. However, no embryo/heartbeat could be seen.
I started having some light bleeding before my appointment.
The ultrasound doctor said at 6w2d an embryo/heartbeat should be visible. He's suggesting that I come back for another scan no sooner than 1 week from today. He says its possible that the gestational sac is measuring ahead and that Im only 5 weeks or so in which case you wouldnt be able to see a embryo/hearbeat.
The other possibility is obviously that I may be having a failed pregnancy. Only time will tell I guess.

I hand delivered the report to my OB today so we'll see what she'd like done. More to come.
We're just in the waiting stage. If we are going to have a baby then we're happy about it. If we're not going to have a baby, we're ok with that too since this caught us completely off guard.

With my boys at 6 weeks 1 day we were only able to see one heartbeat, but could see both yolk sacs so it's possible that you'll see a hb next week. It sounds like you have a good attitude about it, though. Good luck and thanks for the update.

ONE BABY :) ONE BABY :)

Hip-hip- hooray!!!!! I saw an ultrasound tech today (not the regular ultrasound doctor) who wasnt allowed to tell me much except she only saw 1 baby, and the heartrate was 154. I still think Im about 8 weeks and I should talk to my doctor this afternoon. We are completely relieved and stoked now that we know its 1 and not twins again :)

    Yay!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

:clapping: Glad everything looks ok. That seems odd that she wasn't able to tell you much. Even when I found out I had lost one of my second set, she went over everything with me. (both ultrasounds - discovery of twins & discovery of loss).
