The results from yesterday's beta = 9671 progesterone = 55. It scared me because my progesterone had dropped from 59 but the nurse said that is ok and not a concern at all. The reason it freaks me out is because when I lost the baby in 2009, the last bloodwork that was done before I started to bleed showed that my progesterone had dropped. I cannot remember how low it got but Dr. Starks is ok unless it goes below 15. I am trying to remain calm and not worry!!

When I got my first beta and it was 212 (11dp6dt or 17dpo) Dr. Starks said that he felt like it is just one baby. When the nurse called me to tell me the second beta was 4007 she called me an "overachiever" so I am thinking my numbers are a bit high. We did transfer 2 embryos but neither were the best quality and the one Dr Starks felt for sure it would not stick but?????????? My first ultrasound is Dec 7.

Awesome number! Your prog sounds awesome. I wouldn't stress over a 4 point drop... a 20 point drop sure. The prog can fluctuate through the day based on foods/drinks as well. With one of my losses mine dropped to an 8...thats when we knew it wasn't going to end well. Can't wait to hear about your u/s!

    Thanks!!

I CANNOT wait until the 7th!!!! When the nurse called me on the 22nd to tell me what my first beta was, she told me that I could have an ultrasound anytime on or after the 7th - I told her to set me up on the 7th RIGHT NOW! so that they would not book up! I am SO curious to see if there is one or two!!! I keep thinking just one because the one embryo looked so poor to the dr (it was beautiful to me  ) but who knows! maybe the little booger kept on keeping on!! I go for the ultrasound on the 7th then another beta on the 9th and 16th and another ultrasound 2 weeks after the first. The RE will keep me until 12 weeks and then I will go to my regular OB/GYN, who I have already called and made an appointment with for Jan 21 (LOL!! I don't wait well!!) They said that they do an ultrasound at the first visit so WOOHOO!!

Thanks, that really made me feel a lot better. I have been really nervous over it. They told me that after my ultrasound on the 7th that the dr would probably let me stop the progesterone injections - and just keep up the pills for awhile. That scares me too - With my loss in 2009, when the nurse told me my progesterone had dropped, they upped my dose and it still did no good, but by that point I had gone from feeling pregnant to very not pregnant like overnight - so I think it was already bad. I can't wait until the ultrasound either!!!

Thanks guys! I just got home - we sat in the waiting room for what seemed like an eternity!

    ok here goes!

1 baby with a good heartbeat
I should be at 6weeks 4days today the baby measured 6weeks 1 day AND the sac is small. The ultrasound tech said not to worry - yeah right! I go back in 2 weeks. Travis says that all of our kids started off small and why should this one be any different. He is just glad there is a heartbeat on a baby that spent 4 years being frozen. ME TOO, I am so very happy just worried! - I am trying not to worry but I am having to bite my tongue to keep from crying. My mom says that my SIL had the same thing happen and her baby is just fine - anyone else had a small sac?? I am trying to post my u/s pic!

    WOOHOO!!! Awesome news!!!!

The most important thing is that heartbeat!!! Sac size can differ soo much depending on angle and all. Try not to stress over that! I know thats easier said than done. I know this may be a little different but with M&M's pg one of the sacs was much smaller and they told me that one might not make it and it grew along just fine! I will say a prayer that all continues to go well!

Again, a big CONGRATULATIONS coming your way!!!!!

Our first u/s, there was one big ol' sac, and then one not so big sac. That would be Anthony-and well, like Leighann said, look at the avi and you know how that turned out! I didn't ask questions while I was there, I don't think I could think of anything to say. They were cautious, told me it was small, and that if I did start bleeding in the two weeks between appointments, then it most likely meant I was losing baby b.

That night I met my mom/Godmother for dinner and I was telling her this story. I told her, "well, right now it's twins, but there's a chance one might not make it," yada yada yada. She looked at me, essentially told me to shut up, that it was nonsense and she knew that that baby was going to be fine. And well, he is!

I went to work the next day, and I was talking to my coworkers, etc. I realized I didn't know anything about Baby B's stats-heartbeat/length. I knew baby A's though. So, I got on the phone and left a message for the nurse and they called me back. I mentioned the small sac and I didn't know how the heartbeat/length was. And they said to me, "the heartbeat was 122 and the length was right at six weeks(or whatever I was measuring)." And from that moment on, I didn't worry. I knew things would be fine. He was growing fine. I did mention it to my ob at my 12 week, or 10 when I saw her. She showed concern, but she said now that I was this far along, she wasn't concerned anymore.

 It's hard not to worry, but please try not to! Do you have another appointment scheduled?

Heather not sure if it helps but here is a pic of my preg with M&M, as you will see one of the sacs was MUCH smaller than the rest, if it had been by itself I don't know that we would have thought much about it because we couldn't compare it, but it looks similar to yours as far as sac size. I will say I had many losses where the sac was perfectly normal but nothing inside.
Here is my pic, and the top right baby was the smallest always and we believe that was McKenna)
