Had our twins! 26 weekers!

I just wanted to get on and thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. I do have an update. Kathy, My Baby A had been dealing with some low blood pressure problems, but is now completely weaned off the dopamine. She is down to only 26 breaths from the ventilator and is completely room air. She did have to have a blood transfusion this morning, Saturday September 29, and also she got platelettes. She is holding her own pretty good though. They continue to decrease the # of breaths provided by the ventilator and will soon be switching her to CPAP. Kobe, My Baby B is doing remarkably well. He is on CPAP and has had his first blood transfusion. They are doing very well, as I know we are still in the honeymoon phase, but I am feeling a bit more relaxed knowing that they are holding their own. My milk is starting to come in and it is kinda uncomfortable. I have been pumping for them, and the amount I get is increasing each time. I am so happy that I can supply this for my babies.

Please keep us updated. I know there are so many wonderful, supportive stories on NICU board. Please be encouraged.

Just read your update: I'm glad they're doing well! Good job with the bf; doesn't it feel good to know you are doing something so positive for them? Keepu up the good work.

Congratulations on the births of your wee miracles. They are beautiful and my prayers that they'll be strong are with you.
Well done on the expressing too, the amount will increase over time, and even the smallest drop they get is liquid gold.

OMG! They are so tiny! Congratulations on their early arrival, I pray that they stay healthy and grow so they can come home with momma!
