Foremilk and hindmilk - don't worry, be happy!

    I read this earlier and wished I'd read it about 5 months ago! I did get a little caught up in the whole hind/fore milk issue and stressed about it at first. Especially since Caleb has really never been one to eat on both sides at one time. Even now, he eats from one side and then stops. Every now and then he'll eat from both, but not usually.

    Emmett's the same. Even as a newborn, a "long" nursing session was 10 minutes on one side. Poor boy used to have milk coming out his nose when he couldn't keep up with the flow. :laughing: We had a few green diapers (which can sometimes indicate not enough fat) but overall he seemed to be doing just fine so I tried not to worry about it. It's hard though when you just don't know for sure what they're getting.
