I could take it or leave it but it has to have booze in it! However, I'd take a brandy slush over eggnog any day!
If I could I would, but alas...I don't have the recipe. My parents own a fudge business, the sell fudge at craft shows and at a couple of local stores...now that I think of it, they have stores that sell their fudge all over New England. Anyone who wants to order some feel free to PM me, I'll see if he's up to shipping it out.
The Silk Soy Nog is amazing too. Not quite as thick as egg nog but really, really good. In fact, I like it better than real egg nog!
My body HATES me after real eggnog. I truly cannot taste a difference between the real stuff and the Lactaid version. I couldn't find that, that is why I went with the Lactaid version.
Eggnog reminds me of being a sick kid. My Mom always had us drink eggnog when we were sick. Don't ask me why. She made a great eggnog though.
I don't love it but I don't mind it. It always sounds better to me than it actually tastes -- I look forward to drinking it, but after a small cup, I'm done. I like it with just a little booze, and preferably not rum -- I think my dad made it with brandy. I wasn't sure about the "if mixed with booze" option, though -- I thought that was the definition of eggnog. ardon: Nonalcoholic eggnog is a compromise variation, like nonalcoholic beer or decaf coffee.
