Do you dress your twins the same?

I have twin boys, and sometimes I do. If I don't dress them alike, I like to coordinate their clothes (like same outfit but different colors)

I've never dressed my fraternal boys in the same outfits -- I even try to stay away from "alike but different" - it's important to my husband and I that the boys have an identity outside of "the twins".

I, too, don't like getting two of the same outfit (luckily we only got a few of those) I find i just don't use the outfits enough to make it worth having two of the same.

seems like we're a little unique among the pp's -- oh well. I like having to come up with different outfits each day.

Mine are almost always dressed differently because I don't own any identical outfits. I do have a couple "related" outfits, mostly things my mother or grandmother knit, that are similar but not identical. I often will put them on at the same time, but with spit up and poop explotions, it doesn't always last!

I love coordinating, or diff. colors same outfit. But I do get 'lazy' and buy a few things matching too. Never put completely diff. outfits on them, I am just so happy to see them in diff. colors and I think that's enough for now.

I agree with PP about shopping. I was browsing yesterday and my cart was a mess- I had only one of something but no coordinating outfit, so then I settle for two of them, but I can't find two in the same size! So many mis-matches I had to leave in the store!

As far as matching and identities, I only specificially match on holidays, and usually then my two year old is matching or age-coordinating, so it's not a twin thing but rather a girls-looking-like-cute-matching-sisters thing!

We have b/g twins. My MIL has bought some exact same unisex outfits and I dress them alike for her . . . don't want to hurt her feelings. Sometimes I like for their outfits to coordinate . . . at least not clash!

Mine will be born on Wednesday 01-03-07 and most all of the outfits that we have gotten are the same or coordinating - and I think it is SO cute!! I will dress them alike until they tell me that they don't like it!

As Stacy and Clinton say on "What Not To Wear", the clothes have to "go" not "match"! LOL!

I dress them similar, but never exactly the same. Typically it's the same type of outfit (e.g. pants with a onesie or a footed sleeper, etc.) in a different pattern/color for each kid.

I will admit it takes more time to pick out things right now. Although my guys look completely different to me, I'm worried the daycare they just started won't be able to tell them apart (lots of folks get them confused still...including my immediate family!!). So, for now, i'm trying to dress Morgan in blue and Jonah in green (or a non-blue color). It took me forever to find something for them to wear tomorrow. I'm hoping after a few days I'll feel better that the daycare workers know them well enough that I can just go back to similar and not a particular color!

I figure when they are older they won't want to so I'm going to enjoy it as long as I can!

    I'll just ditto LeslieLu. [IMG]

I dress them "the same but different" all the time. They look so cute! When they get old enough to choose their own clothes, then, obviously they get to pick what they want.

I have to say I have issues... I, too, swore I wouldn't dress them the same. But I do every day! I have even changed one's outfit if the other one dirtied hers if we're going out in public. One time I dressed them in coordinating instead of matching outfits, and my dh said, "You want to take them out dressed like this?" [IMG] Guess he likes the same outfits too! It's a sickness and we've been infected!
