?

I've been wondering... Before you go to bed-do you check on your twins?

I always check on them because i work 5 nights a week and like to see them before i go to bed. I like to tuck them in and give them a kiss x

I didn't go back in there for awhile because they would here the door open but, then the one time I did go in there recently DD was wrapped up sleeping in her crib bumper and in a poop diaper(she never even cried.) So, now I make it a rule right before I go to bed to go in there and check on each one,put blankies back into cribs, check to make sure everyone is breathing, and do a smell check of the air to make sure no one is poop.

i used to check ALL the time...even when i would get up to go pee or something in the middle of the night. i would just check and see if they are ok, or if anything is out of the crib. i stopped doing this a few months ago, i think it was...because mallory is a very light sleeper and would sit up when i went in!!!!!!!!!!!! she may not be awake, but i didn't want to do that anymore.

Nope, never once. I am too petrified that I will wake them up, and then they won't go back to sleep!

Same here. I would not dare do anything to interrupt their sleep. I have to keep the bathroom fan going all night as it is, because every little noise wakes them up. :(

i check on mine about every hour at night. during naps i try not to (though i listen to the monitor!), because i'm afraid of waking them.... we all sleep in the same room, and they both still wake a few/several times/night, so i don't have to check--they make themselves known!

Wow, I am the odd one out. I don't check on them. Although DD wakes up several times a night (for the past 2 weeks) so I hadn't had to go in there before that. I am sure once they are in their big kid beds I will to make sure they are in them and not on the floor but other than that, nope I have never checked on them.

DH and I check on them most nights. He works long hours and doesn't get to spend much time with him so when we sneak in it's mostly so that he can get a quick peek and we do retrieve soothers, blankets and stuffed animals. Oh, and we love when they are sleeping in odd positions, like the bum up in the air or the full spread eagle. Then we point and laugh, quietly.

It's actually become a funny ritual with us - it's like we're the kids. We'll be brushing our teeth and DH will get all excited and say "Let's go look at them!" and we tiptoe into their rooms. Occasionally they will wake up and look at us as if to say "what are you DOING?" but they just go back to sleep.

I love watching them sleep. They are so beautiful and peaceful that it almost makes you forget about the constant whining and getting into trouble they do when they're awake...
