at what age did you feel comfortable taking the twins out by yourself?

I took my girls all alone at three weeks.... plus their 4 year old big brother. We went to walmart, and aside from being stopped every 2 min for people to look at them it was an easy trip!

dh took my boys out on day 3! i think i waited until they were 7 days old. it was only a couple of weeks and then i got used to taking them out every day. they were much easier then. our car seats clip onto our pram so i could just strap them in and off we go. they would sleep practically the whole time out.now that they are on solids and we are using the pram seats its much harder to get out. fitting in between breakfast, bottles, lunches, naps etc.
go for it! its much easier than you think it will be as long as you plan and prepare!!!!

"Mommy up!" and get you and the kids out of the house  !!! It only gets easier with practice. I have to admit that my twins are 3&4, and I just didn't have time to worry about taking them out! (I'm sure other mothers of older singles or twins will agree with me)

Me too, i have a three year old, four year old, then the twins. My husband left for a month when the twins were three weeks old, i tried to get people to help me out, but you just have to do what you have to do, can't stay home forever. Plus we're in Alaska and its winter so gotta get all the snow gear on, fun fun!

My boys are 3months old and I have not taken them out by myself yet. I always take someone with me.

Mine are almost 7 months and I havent taken them out alone either!

Saying that, I do live in a block of flats (on the top floor) where the pram I have doesnt fit in the lift. It´s almost impossible for me to get out alone due to that. I´d have to take the pram down first and open it out then go back for the babies who are too heavy for me to carry down together. Ive made my peace that I wont get out alone till they´re walking. Now Im lucky to have help so we´re not house-bound!

Congrats to you mums who have made it out alone! :D

My twins were 10 months before I took them out by myself. It was to the grocery store. It wasn't too bad but after the first time, I definitely felt more comfortable doing it!! I think I just needed to find out that I didn't have to rely on someone to help me all the time. :)
