Argument over name....

I'd call him Eric too (or Erik or even Erick) -- I was going to also suggest Rick or Joe (for his middle name). Or you could call him Cinco in reference to him being the V!!

I actually know someone whose son goes by Erick because his name is Frederick (also a family name). She has twin daughters Sean's age and then her little Erick is in 4th grade. The other Frederick I know I went to college with and it was also a family name. He goes by Pete because his name is Frederick Peter xxxxx.

 

I like the spelling of Erick. I had a friend in hs named Frederick Jackson. I can't remember what his family called him when he was little (some version of Frederick), but when he started elementary school and the teacher asked him what he would like to be called, he answered "Jackson". Pretty funny for a 5 year old, but it stuck and b/c his mom worked at the school, even his family began calling him Jackson. :lol:

My husband's family tradition is initials...Thank Goodness! We just needed to come up with a JTG and wound up keeping the same middle name as my DH. Our other boy will have a middle name from my family.
