AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 7

This was just a guess on my part from the searches I have done on the songs he has sung.

I would think it is more likely that it stands for his brothers initials

Jason was OK tonight. I usually love him but he seems to be so unenthusiastic lately. I want to give him one more chance though so I hope he doesn't leave tonight.

David C - love him as always. To me he is the only one who gets me excited every single time! He is in a league much higher than the rest.

Brooke - her first song was awful, I have to admit, but I did LOVE her 2nd song. Don't want to see her go though.

David A - Ugh, I can't stand him. He is so boring and obnoxious. His singing is not my style. It scares me to think he will be in the top 2. Yawwwwwnnnnn. I so don't get the big deal about him. ??????

Syesha - Her voice is pretty but she is also boring and unoriginal. She just seems to disappear in the crowd.

I would love for David A and Syesha to be in the bottom 2 tonight.

 

Who do you think is going home tonight? I'm wondering about Simon's comment to Syesha. I remember last week he apologized to Carly for complimenting her. He told her that was her kiss of death. This week he told Syesha she was in danger of going home and according to Dial Idol she got the second most votes. Was it a designed move on Simon's part knowing that people would get on the phone and dial like mad for her. I think Brooke should be going home myself. It's purely from the standpoint of being tired of her. Everything she sings sounds so much alike to me. I don't care for Syesha's style. My favorite is David Cook. I think David A has a nice voice, but I don't see him appealing to an overall listening audience. As Simon once mentioned, he reminds me of the vocalist you see on stage or on the floats in Disney or places like that. Syesha would probably be a good broadway person, but in no way do I see her as a headliner. I think David C will appeal to the masses. I think Jason is just one of the cutest little things I have ever seen, but again with him I don't see him appealing to the masses. Brooke lost me with that continued little pout and always being so apologetic. I really thought she should have gone home last week and the week before that. I think it's going to come down to a male top three. I think Jason and David A will stay in because of the young teen vote.

I think so too. Dont you think they will let him do this thing if he wins. I mean, if he wins, they know people like his style. So whats the deal with their contract. What does it consist of and how does it hinder them??

I think so!!! The best deserves to win!!! David A would still be fine. He's got a HUGE following. I don't think that the past guy winners have done that well. Daughtry SHOULD have won, but he's fine! Taylor Hicks :umm: Not the best by a long shot. He was very fun, but eehhhh!

I'm very curious how the next three are going to leave!

I agree with Kim with just about everything, EXCEPT, I don't love Brooke. I do like her though, but she's overstayed her welcome on this show. And I like David A, though I hope he doesn't win. I think David Cook should. He's a very good singer/entertainer. All the rest just get up and sing and don't "wow" an audience. Even Jason, who I like, but I was thinking the same thing these past weeks, he just doesn't seem "into it." Maybe he doesn't really want to win. Who knows? David A. seems a little off kilter, too. Not too enthusiastic either. Hmmmm....

 

One of the right people went home again. I think it is just a waiting game now. I think if it comes down to the 2 Davids it will be a good final 2. I think David Cook will do good either place he comes in.

Did you all catch they did Brother Loves Traveling Salvation Show..... WOO HOO!!!

Totally agree. His brother is the AC

 

YA know I really enjoy listening to them doing the group songs more and more. I think they ALL sound better with those but I also think that it is because they are getting some computer help with those songs. Not that the computer is doing the singing just that their voices are being enhanced to sound better.

I agree that the right person went home tonight.

I never like the call in segment but tonight I thought it was cute. You could tell he was embarassed.

I also liked what Neil said to the final 5 "Don't listen to what Simon says" that was funny

 

I thought that call in part was cute too with that first kiss girl and Simon.

 

Poor Brooke. I feel so bad for her. I'm sure she knew she wasn't gonna win, but it's sad watching someone get their heartbroken .

Yes, Chrissy! LOVE that song! I wish Neil would've sung it though.... .

We like the call-in segment. It's my girls' favorite part! It was especially cute tonight to see Simon chatting with his first crush.....lucky woman :blush: .

I completely agree. A lot of people felt she was being phony with her emotions but I disagree. She was so sincere. And I felt for her because as a "crier" myself I know how impossible it is to stem the flow, lol. She is a sweetheart and I totally appreciated her style much more than boring Syesha but knew it was just a matter of time. Now she can go back to her DH. What a cute couple!!

Chrissy, I immediately thought of you when they sang that song!!

I really hope it comes down to the three guys but I have a sick feeling Syesha may hang in there. *yawn*

I was in the Ladies room at the Red Sox game when I heard that Brooke went home from a bunch of teenagers.

I think Jason looks like he hates singing as a group too. I am wondering if he is just not liking being in the show anymore. I bet he wishes he could pick his own songs....

I do not think they sound very good as a group, maybe that is just me though....

This seems like a really long season. Normally I would vote but I have not really been into it this year. I hate seeing Syesha still in there, Carly should be there in her place.

Brooke's exit was sad, but I was only half listening because I was super busy. But I caught that she really couldn't sing because of the crying...

 

When they had the re-cap for Brooke's exit, they showed a picture of her with a double stroller.

Before idol she was a nanny for twins. I also felt bad when she was crying.

I could never be on Idol because I'd be just like Brooke. I am such an easy crier and I cry over EVERYTHING. I can totally relate to her in that aspect.

I was shocked that I was not more sad for Brooke. Either, I got so used to her crying or I was just so happy I get another week of Jason!

Isnt it funny how everyone has their own interpretations! I thought it looked like he liked singing as a group. The more I see him, the more of a goofball I think he is (not in a bad way). He looked like he was having fun. At one time he tried clapping to get the crowd involved.

I thought Brooke and Syesha did not sound good together but I thought the three guys did.

 

Next week more than anything I think it has to be about music selection. Look at the incredible list of performers anyone can pick from. They better all bring their A game and pick great songs (do I sound like Randy or what?)

All I gotta say is that Randy needs to stop it with all this David A lovin'... it's making me kinda sick. :bad:

Good night... Jason had a rough one though. When Simon asked him what he was thinking, I loved that he said "I was thinking Bob Marley!" :lol: Seriously though he had a rough night with vocals and forgetting lyrics, although one COULD argue he was just doing an AWESOME impression of Dillon.

David C did great IMO, and I was THRILLED that SOMEONE finally did a song from The Who! Cauz it rocked! :banana:

And Syesha, I thought she looked great and sounded great. Randy was dead wrong on her last song.

David A... I don't know why but he really really bores me to death. He seems like sweetest person but I am just not into him and I would never buy one of his albums.

I think it will be Jason going home tomorrow.

 

I never watched before last season but my wife starting using it as cuddle time!!! Now I really enjoy it! I know she is not going to be the idol but I like sieshas Singing the most...

 

OK, I love David Cook. But c'mon, dude, Hungry Like the Wolf? Seriously? Duran Duran does not suit him at all. Especially when he had so many GREAT songs to choose from! But Baba O'Reilly! Now he's talking! It wasn't my very favorite David C ever but he was back in the zone! I'm even voting for him.

Syesha. Not crazy about her Tina Turner impression but at least she shook things up a bit. But wow, I thought her Sam Cooke was AMAZING. And she looked fantastic!

Poor, poor Jason. Lack of preparation perhaps? He is so dang sweet though. I just can't resist. I also loved the "I was thinking Bob Marley!" line. :lol: Classic Jason. I actually thought his version of Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man wasn't too bad except for the missed lyrics. Heck, he sounded better than the real Dylan! (Not too hard, lol.) Still he probably needs to go home now. He just didn't bring it.

David A. continues to be brilliant and rock solid. He is not my type of performer at all but I can appreciate his talent. He has natural talent. And to think he's only 17. He has so much time to grow and improve. Plus as I've said a few times, his little personality is so much like Sean's friend. It's cute to watch.

Truthfully I believe Jason's time is up but it could be a surprise this week. Now if I could just get through for David Cook!

 

I saw snippets tonight. I thought Syesha sounded awesome on the Sam Cook song. David A was just okay with Elvis. Cook rocked as usual. Baba O'Reilly is such a great song!! Jason, eh ardon: I think he should go home.
