I thought Carly's bathroom comment was because Simon said she didn't look comfortable during her performance and her comment back meant she took care of business before she came on? That's how I interpreted it  . Weird, anyway.

I think Ramiele's in trouble this week. She's just not up to par lately. Jason's singing was very soft. I hope he doesn't go...yet.

Best performances, well, I'm agreement with the majority here: David Cook is awesome, Michael does Queen VERY well. And I think Kristy may have pulled herself out of the bottom this week. It's the best I've heard her.

DH says next weeks theme is
    Dolly Parton
...so it looks like Christy will probably be around after next week too :p. Wonder what David C. is going to do with THAT theme !

Ramiele did not have a stand out performance to me. It also seemed the background singers sang more than she did.

Jason just is not a WOW performer to me. He has a nice voice but he is not the best up there.

Syesha I was impressed that she showed some emotion in her singing but it was still the same as usual.

    Chakeze was unimpressive.

Brooke has a beautiful voice but she is not WOWing me either.

Michael to me did not have as good a performance as the judges seem to think he did. I think he was flat at times and it was not a GREAT performance.

Carly sang a song that fit her voice well but it was also not a WOW for me.

David A did not impress me with that song. I do not agree with Paula that he could sing the phonebook. His performance bored me.

Kristy sang well but not great. She played it safe to try to stay in.

David C was AMAZING! He has WOWed me and impressed me again with his song choice and vocals.

I was sick last night so I did not get to see the show live and did not vote :(

I am thinking the bottom 3 will be
    Chikeze
    Kristy
    Ramiele

I think somehow Kristy will make it through again and Chikeze will be voted off tonight.

I have to stick up for Jason a little. I re-watched his performance this morning again (youtube is a great thing, lol) and decided I really liked it. He's being himself. He's not the showboat type, kwim? He's very laid back and that's his thing. It wasn't my favorite performance of his but I did enjoy it.

I also rewatched David A and actually enjoyed his performance a lot as well. I listened to the original version of his song too. Very nice.

I'm thinking we could possibly be very surprised by who gets voted off tonight since there is no clear cut person, imo. I still hope it is Ramiele. She is least enjoyable for me out of the remaining contestants.

David Cook... Wow... what else can I say... the dude just wows me completely.

So did Micheal john. He does queen very very well. It was nice to see him finally hit with a song again.. he mentioned in one of the taped interviews a few weeks back that he had "peaked in hollywood".. so this was a good thing for him.

I liked Christy too. Love that song, and she did it really really well. I don't think she played it safe, I think she took a chance... she could have been pooed and made fun of for that choice, instead of complimented. It was a risk, and she pulled it off.

I don't remember jason's performance... gonna have to watch it tonight after work on youtube. I watched the show last night at about 1 am, so there were points I fell asleep.

David A... I'm just not a fan. He bugs me. Not really sure why, he just does... and I thought the song was a very bad choice. And yes, it seemed like an amusement park performance. Or a high school pop show.

Brooke... I just love her. She's so refreshing. But, I agree that she shouldn't have brought the band in with her... but, you know devil if you don't, devil if you do.. Last time she did a basic rendition and didn't bring the band in, both randy and paula told her it needed the band. They are always asking for consistancy... maybe they need to be more consistant with them selves and what they want from these guys too.

Carly.. I thought she did good. I like her alot though. Funny, they told her in hollywood that it was a perfect song for her, but told her last night it wasn't a good song for her... back to that consistancy issue.

I did not like Chikeaze, Ramiele, or Shyesha. Not at all. Ramiele just doesnt bring it up, she kinda stays at a highschool level. I think she lacks life experience needed to connect with the audience. That or who ever is helping her pick her songs is just screwing things up for her! HAHA. (same with David A, and yep I think it was a dig at his dad) I'm just not a chikeaze fan at all. Though he did very well last week, or the week before.. can't remember which... I've not been a shyesha fan either. I think she screaches through her songs too much. Pushes her vocals past their abilities. So, those are the three I would like to see in the bottom..

Cant wait to see who it will be.

And cause I have to say it again... David cook is just simply awsome!! I listened to the Chris Cornell version earlier, and agree that he did it even better than him. The dude just rocks.

    Not going to really miss
    Chikezie
all that much but I seriously think
    Ramiele
should have been in the bottom three and gone home first. I felt much the same about Amanda last week. She wasn't going to make it to the end but it was too soon for her to have left (and I missed her this week). Not sure I'll miss
    Chikezie
in the same way but it was just a tad ( a week or two) premature.

Oh and I guess we know the truth about Carly now! ;)

I'm sad to see the person who left tonight leave. Granted, they weren't going to win it all but there are others who should have gone before them.

Did anyone else notice David H. in the audience? He was behind the judges sitting next to Ramiele's Best Friend, Danny N. I don't think I would want to hang out and watch the shows after being voted off.

I did not notice that. I still don't get how he could be her "best friend" when they have only known each other since the show began.

So do we think that someone is going to make it through to win it all even if they aren't the best?

Could that happen? Goodness I hope not.

You can also read the blacked out parts if you double click on them. Why are they blacked out?

I am LATE on this thread but I wanted to weigh in. IMHO David C. Michael J. and Brooke are the only true talents now. The others are okay but in order I would put Siyesha, Ramiele, David A , Carly, and the others equally. I was so glad that girl left last week and Chikezie this week, they were my least favorites.

They are blacked out so as not to spoil the results for people who may not have watched yet. It's known as a spoiler. All you have to do is highlight them to read what's hidden.

I meant to ask if anyone else saw Amanda interviewed on GMA (or was it the Today show?) the other day. It was a sweet interview and she was very cool about leaving. She said she knew her style wasn't for everyone and that she was grateful for the exposure on AI. If the singing doesn't work out, she'll continue with her nursing career. She gave a nice interview.

I hope everyone has seen the results show that is reading this thread now.

I can't believe Kristy Lee Cook is still hanging on. I would imagine she is also seeing the face she made when she was told she could go sit on the couch.

I am going to have to stay awake for the next several shows and watch them LIVE so that I can call and add my vote. If she wins this whole thing this will be the first and last season of AI that I watch.

There was a bit of an uproar on another site about David Cook singing the Chris Cornell version of "Billy Jean". Supposedly many felt HE should have made it clearer to the judges that it was not his cover of MJ/Billy Jean but rather a cover of CCs version of MJ/Billy Jean. I honestly think it was made clear enough when Ryan introduced him and said it himself.

I wasn't ready for Chikezie to go home yet. (Cheryl, typically we use the spoilers on the same night as the results show for those who aren't watching it live). I really can't believe that Ramiele was not in the bottom 3!

Amanda is going to be on Ellen tomorrow for those that want to see her.

Wow! I was quite surprised to not see Ramiele in the bottom three!

It was probably time for Chikezie to go, even though I DID like him. He was doomed to go home sometime with all the other talent on the show this year.

Unfortunately, with next weeks theme, Christy will probably be able to stick around a little longer, but IMO she is the worst one left, followed by Ramiele, David A. and Syesha.

    I AGREE AGREE AGREE EXACTLY!!!

I am astonished that Ramiele wasn't in the bottom three - is she vote for the worst? I haven't looked. I suppose it's still Kristy, but she deserved to go through based on the last performance.

I have been voting A LOT!!! I tend to start the show late. I pause it while I put the kids to bed and then I'm usually only part way through when voting begins. So I'll sit there and redial for 2-3 people a night. I like to think that I am the reason that Carly wasn't in the bottom again!! :D

I kinda think that David C's performance mislead me a bit. I had NO idea that anyone else covered it before, so I thought he DID THAT HIMSELF and was WAY blown away by it. I'm still loving it, but seeing it clearer now.

I will miss Chikezie, wish it was RAMIELE!! (Who's voting for her?) I noticed Danny in her crew last night, and he had his hair cut and looked like a little boy!! It was nutty how different he looked!!

I'm with you, Diane....I've never heard of Chris Cornell so I, too, thought David C. arranged Billy Jean himself. Oh well. He still sounded great.

Sad about Chikeze, but only because he's a nice guy. Actually, all the contestant's seem really nice so it's sad that they'll all have to be "eliminated" save one, but that's the show. :(

Okay, so Dolly is on next week, but do all the performers have to sing "Dolly" songs? Yikes! That's gonna be tough for everyone, but Kristy  .

Is that the theme? "Dolly Parton" songs? with her right there during the performances?

That could be worse than Beatles weeks, although some songs sounded great it was just not the right style for for all of them.. and neither is country. It will be interesting how DC will make one of her songs his own.

I was very surprised that Ramiele wasn't in the bottom 3. Chikezie wasn't too much of a surprise to go home, but he could've stayed another week or two.

I thought Ryan made it very clear that David Cook was doing Chris Cornell's version of Billy Jean.

Dolly Parton week should prove to be interesting. Kristy could be around for another week. Judging from what David Cook has done over the last few weeks (especially with the Lionel Ritchie song) I have full confidence he'll find a way to rock out one of Dolly's songs and make it spectacular. The guy is truly amazing! I actually can't wait to see what he does with it.

Here are some of my thoughts...
I was ready for Chikezie to go and am ready for Ramiele, Kristy, Syesha and David A to go too. Dh and I joke that for the year that David A was born, he could have sang a John Mayer song or someone recent like him since we joke that he is five years old!

I really like Brooke. I love her sincerity and genuineness (is that a word!). I like David Cook but I really love Michael John!!! There is something about Jason that I also loved. I would have died if he went home this week. He really does need to make a btter song choice next week. I want him to stay! ANd Carly deserves to stay. I like her and think she is great but I just dont love her.

Does Dolly Parton even have nine decent songs that anyone can try to sing? (not to mention that most of the ones she has probably had are not in the right style for most of the singers). I've seen three mentioned here, 9 to 5, I Will Always Love You and Islands in the Stream. I can also recall Here You Come Again. What else does she have in her career worth singing?

Actually, I think this might be the case. Dolly is the mentor next week, but I'm not sure if they have to pick HER songs or any country song. DH and I keep reading different things :p. Regardless, it will probably be my least favorite of the themes (next to disco), especially since it means Kristy will stick around a little longer <_<.
