Gotta say I agree with everyone (except Kim, sorry Kim!) about Megan. What a weak song to choose! Gotta go! Anoop... yuck, Beat it. double :bad: My favs were Adam, Allison, Matt. I also really like Kris. Mostly because he is sooo cute.

Interesting about the veto idea... can't wait to see what happens with that!

I agree. I also like Alexis.

and Megan bugs the heck out of me!

Adam is just amazing. I am already hoping he does not win so that he can go off and record on his own! He has a little Sebastian Bach to his voice when he hits those notes!

Devon said the exact same thing about him last night!!! He also seems very grateful all the time. I just adore him.

When Danny was dancing last night I as reminded of Taylor Hicks ;)

I said that exact thing last night Chrissy! My DH said that Simon is not going to like Danny very long if he keeps that up! Simon didn't care for Taylor AT ALL!

    totally 100% agree! Horrible.

That was an interesting song "My life would suck without you"

I have to say I was not shocked that
    Jazz
was voted off. I did not think it would happen tonight though.

    I figured
    Jorge
would not make it very far but did not think he would have gone before
Anoop. Although I did think both were going to go this week

Now that wouldn't be bad. When someone who clearly is talented (say a Chris Daughtry type) gets eliminated too early, veto power would be nice. Actually, as with Sanjaya, it would be nice if they could do it in reverse so Vote for the Worst would backfire.

Poor Megan. Y'all are brutal!

    YES! That would be great!

I think Jorge has a lot of potential. He'll be a big star in PR at least! He was very sweet. This was a tough night because honestly I think all of the contestants are very talented and there was not one I really disliked totally. I do think Jorge, Anoop, Jasmine, and Scott are all the weakest of the top 13. And they were all still amazingly great, so that is saying something!

Next week's theme is songs covered by members of the Grand Ole Opry or something like that. That might be tough sleddings for some of the remaining 11.

I didn't read all the threads since Wednesday, but am I the only one that doesn't like Adam? I find is voice to be very one-toned and annoying. It is soooo screechy!! I really liked him during auditions, but since then I haven't been to keen on him.

I'm not the biggest fan of country, but I still enjoy watching them go for it. They can always change it up to suit their style. They don't have to sing it country!

Ugh, I don't like country week either. I don't know why they have to make these potential recording artists sing a genre that is so difficult and that none of them will end up in. I know they want to see how versatile they are, but country music is kind of in a league of its own, kwim?

several have gone there in the past....so it's not out of the question!!

I understand though. I am not a fan, but clearly there's MILLIONS of fans out there. Michael was driven along by the country fans. He'll be in his element for sure!

Definitely not a country fan either but some good performances have come out of country week in the past. Just because they have to do a country song does not mean it has to sound country. I usually don't like it, though, because I don't know most of the songs.

That's the REAL issue for me - You nailed it (as usual) not KNOWING the songs is a big problem!!

I'm so glad Tatiana finally got the boot. Talk about a drama queen! The thing that ticked me off more than anything was how she ruins the moment for the person going on to the top 12. Instead of being gracious and saying, "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!" - no, she has to be all weepy and crying and woe is me. What should be their moment suddenly becomes all about her. Don't you think every other person who's chances at the top 12 are now gone felt sad and wished it had been them? But have a little class and be gracious to those who did move on! Ugh, I am so glad the drama ends with her.

    srsly.
    Thank.god.

Great show tonight! I think it really showcased what a fantastic back catalogue MJ has, although there were a few odd choices. Dirty Diana and Human Nature -- two of my very favorite MJ songs.

My #1 pick of the season so far? ADAM LAMBERT!!!!!! He is ridiculously amazing!!

I also enjoyed Danny Gokey a lot, Allsion Iraheta (what a voice!), Megan Joy Corkrey, and Matt Giraud. Those are my favorites right now. I really like Jorge Nuñez too and thought he sang well just not his best song choice.

My disappointments tonight were Lil Rounds (she was not awful, but not as great as usual) and Anoop Desai (Beat It? C'mon, dude -- that song is iconic!).

Alexis Grace, Kris Allen, Scott MacIntyre, Lil, and Jasmine all deserve another chance. Sadly, I'd probably send Michael Sarver and Anoop home right now. Both very likeable guys but nothing standout after tonight.

I only voted for ADAM, though!! :D

Ok, I like Megan, Adam, Allison, and Lil.

I used to like Anoop, but he hasn't been doing well.

I also was pleasantly surprised with the evening and am glad to see I'm not alone in loving Human Nature - maybe MJ's most underrated song ever.

Tops for me were Adam, Danny (nice finish but didn't like his A Capella start), Matt and Allison. Alexis would be a close 5th (I would have liked to see her nd Allison flip flop their songs although Dirty Diana might be a bit much for a 16 year old). Others weren't bad or I wasn't in love with their song choices like Lil, Michael, Jasmine (tough to out-Mariah Mariah), Kris and Jorge. My least favorites by far were Anoop, Scott and Megan (who I thought had the worst song choice of the night - that's not even an original Jackson 5 song I don't believe but a remake by them). I think Anoop, Kris, and Jasmine might be in the most trouble to go home.

I think the twist is that the judges will pick at least one of the two to go home tomorrow, and during the season they will use their power to save some of the contestants.

It's not a bad season. Adam, Danny, Allison and Alexis have real potential to be break-out performers. And some others might be able to find a niche for themselves in different genres like Michael in the gospel market and Jorge in the spanish-American market.

    How could I forget Alexis!
    She's my favorite.
I like her better then Adam.
Adam is the least favorite of my favorites (if that makes any sense)

I do like Alexis. There's a lot of people to love this year!!!

I think Anoop should be next....we'll see how The Grand Ole Opry fits him!!

I loved Adam and thought he was fantastic! I totally agreed with Randy and Paula. He is so not a country artist (thank God!) but he took a country song and made it something completely different. Before Paula made her comments, I had already turned to Lou and said that it had a very Led Zeppelin/Kashmir vibe and then she said the same thing! How funny!! I just think he is awesome. While I would not like to see him do country any more, lol, he took a genre that was not his own and made it his. Very cool. He is amazing.

I also really liked Danny, Anoop (yes!!), Megan Joy (so quirky, I totally dig her, and that is one country song I actually love), and Matt. All terrific this week.

If I had to send one home it would be one of these: Michael, Kris or Scott. All very good singers but not stand out, imo, in their performances.

I still HATE country music, though, even though there were some stellar performances this week.

I'm not at all into the country thing either so this is a tough week to like anyone. I thought Adam was really good, did not hate it at all! Anoop was good but it sounds like he's been weak overall. This was my first week watching this season. I think I like the chick that was sick also...

Ok, I hate hard rock, but how could I not love Adam this year? He did SOOO good tonight! (again, did I mention I hate hard rock?) The boy can sing!!!!!

If DH ever read this, he would call me a redneck (he'd be right....) 15 years after alienating a guy I like by telling him I hated country, I am now a hard core country-lover...but I still liked many of the versions tonight. I cringed when anyone did Garth, but I loved Kris too!
