I want to know who matched the idols up with the artists they sang with. Those were great matches!

I just watched Adams performance with Kiss and that was WOW! He must have been having a ball but 1/2 way through all I could think was It would have been even better if it had been doing QUEEN.

I also think Kris had just as much fun with Keith. Kris was so into it even more so than in his other performances

ETA How could I forget those shoes Adam was wearing

The Queen performance right now is the BOMB!!! Adams voice totally overpowered Kris though.

DH and I think this is the best finale they've ever had. Usually, we're just sitting there waiting for the results.

 

This is awesome... just one great performer after another.. I wasn't sure I could sit through the full two hours and now I'm so glad I did...

This finale was sooo good, no matter what the results are going to be!

And that Queen performance was sooo good. All I could think of was you ladies in here!

 

I really don't care who wins and thought Queen's We are the Champion was an unbelievable ending to a great finale (I agree with the earlier assessment - the best finale ever for a show that typically always ends the year with finales like this that are the highlight of the season). The one thing I'd say about the Queen performance, as well as Kris did, I just wanted to hear Adam sing the last note. Oh well - it was still amazing.

I know. I do like Kris but he shouldn't have been the winner (of course in MY opinion)..

What a PHENOMENAL show tonight!!! I loved all of the pairings of artists and contestants. Superb!! Highlights for me were Lionel Richie, Keith Urban, Santana, Rod Stewart, and Adam and Kris with Queen!!!! Let me repeat that . . . QUEEN!!!!! Adam was MEANT to sing with them. Simply awesome. Showcased his outstanding voice to the hilt. Loved it!!!!! Freddie was smiling down on him. I know it.

I'm very happy with the results. The right two finished the season and while both are excellent in their own way, I think this was the right way to end. Too bad we had to hear that clunker of a song again, though. Kris was truly surprised and humbled. Awesome.

OK, I cannot sleep now because I am reliving Adam and Queen. Too bad he isn't British. He might have had a new job. :lol:

Loved this show tonight!! Well worth my two hours. I'm not even sad for Adam because I know he is going to have a MAJOR career. I hope Kris does well -- he should do more of the Keith Urban thing. That was fantastic.

Basically, we use the spoiler in these threads (maybe not on that particular statement) so that if someone on the West Coast has not yet seen the show, they won't know what the results are before they watch. It's just a courtesy that we've kind of always extended in the Idol (and probably some of the others like DWTS) threads.

 

Lots of highlights too - Kris with Keith Urban, Danny with Lionel Ritchie, Fergie and the Black Eyes Peas (and call me crazy, but I kind of like that Boom Boom song - but did they have to bleep out some of the naughty parts?). The Queen song was the best though - I agree that Adam could tour with Queen right now and I'd consider going to that concert.

Good season - upset winner but as we know sometimes the winners of this show make it big and sometimes they don't. I think Kris could do fine - he's still young and growing as an artist. In the end though, I think Adam and Allison become the breakout stars of this season.

Yeah, I guess I "get" that, but it still doesn't make sense to me. Every other post gave the results either directly or indirectly and this post didn't say anything spoiler-worthy anyway. Plus, why on earth would you be reading this thread if you didn't want to know the outcome?!? :blink:

Ok, I just sound crazy now, so back to the regularly scheduled program...

 

I like that Boom Boom song also and said it tonight when they were singing it and my DH said WHY!? I could not really say why other than it is cool and from what I could hear not an obnoxious explicit.

I am a little sad for Adam. He was a great performer and he was in it to win it but agree he will probably do better doing his own stuff. I wonder if he could do some Queen. He seemed to love it and (was it) John Deacon seemed to enjoy him singing also.

I am so excited for KRIS! That is so awesome!

Fox TV says a moment of silence during the Black Eyed Peas performance wasn’t the network’s doing.

Midway through the song “Boom Boom Pow,” TV viewers heard only silence and saw an “Idol” logo across the screen for a few moments. A Fox spokesman said it was singer will.i.am’s decision to stay mum, apparently to keep an expletive from airing during Wednesday’s performance.

 

I was watching the show with a DVR delay so when I posted I did not read any posts other than the one I was posting. I did catch someones post that said something like "I'm going to throw up" but scrolled quickly past it when my post came up
