LOL, my phone has not stopped ringing (thank God for cell phones and land line so I can still vote) and I've gotten a few emails too. :lol: I swear Adam sang just for ME!

 

Of the judge's choices, I thought Danny did the best job with what he was given. I LOVE U2 and didn't like what Adam did to that song. Kris was just "alright, dawg" on his.

Of the personal choice songs, I really liked Danny's version of "You are So Beatiful" and I also loved Kris's performance on a song that I didn't really know. Again, not loving Adam...but that's nothing new. I really like Aerosmith, but wasn't happy with his performance. I agree that he has talent, I don't care for the screeching, I think he just goes over the top time after time.

At first I did not realize it was the same song but when he sang the talking part of the song it hit me. I like the way he sang it much more than the computer enhanced way Kanye "sings' it.

 

Loved Kris tonight!!! I think he has grown so much! I hope so much that it is him with Adam! Danny does nothing for me!

 

I did my part as an American Citizen and voted for Adam for 2 hours straight. I got in probably 50 times total. So I have to say I did my part.

I think that Kris could sell the heck out of some albums and he definatly has a fan base. I am just not a Kayne West fan (really any rap fan), so I was extremly impressed with what Kris did.

 

I loved Kris tonight with "Heartless".

All the guys are really pulling their games tonight! Top performances for me were Adam and Kris so I'm voting for them only. I'm getting through about half the time. Lots of busy signals tonight for both.

Tonight was a mix for me. Loved Adam's Cryin' but didn't care for One. I think that might be because I don't care for U2 other than Joshua Tree. I actually couldn't remember Kayne West singing Heartless but I have heard the Fray's version... this is theirs I enjoyed Kris' SOOOOO much better. I liked Kris' apologize even though it was very methodical. Danny did a wonderful, fab job with You Are So Beautiful (which I am not crazy about either) and I really DID NOT get Paula's pick. What the heck is wrong with her??? <_< She could have given him a little something better to work with, you know?

Either way I felt mixed about the songs. I like Kris and Adam for the final. I think I have a serious crush on Kris so I am partial to him but Adam has an amazing voice.

And yes, Chrissy, I keep having deja vu every time Danny takes the stage. It's like watching Taylor Hicks all over again.

Then he will make the perfect rock star. Hell, he IS a rock star already! What true rock star do you know who isn't over the top? It's what they do! One of my favorite Steven Tyler quotes is, "Anything worth doing is worth overdoing." Adam fits in just fine.

I voted for two hours straight too. I probably got through somewhere around 40 times total. It worries me but no matter what happens, Adam will be just fine. But Simon must be worried too. I love that he said not to assume Adam would get through and that we still needed to vote to make it happen. :good: I hope people who love Adam listened!

I have been thinking about this. I don't hear screeching. I hear an amazing voice, always on pitch, with an amazing range. But then think about artists I love vocally: Axl Rose, Steven Tyler (the Demon of Screamin'), Sebastian Bach, Robert Plant and it all makes sense that I would love Adam too. He definitely has the chops to hang in their league. So I think it all comes down to a matter of taste.

I watched the show SO late last night that I couldn't vote. It was over.

I will freely admit that I didn't like ONE in that arrangement. That's not to say his pitch was off or anything, just that I didn't like that the melodies were so messed with! Thought "Cryin' " was SPOT ON and sUpErB!

Didn't even RECOGNIZE Danny's first song and did like Heartless better than the original!!! Go figure!! I can't pick between Danny and Kris! They are a dead heat to me! Crazy! Although, I'm with Sarah having a crush on the kid!! :wub: :blush:

 

SO what do you think. I am going for Kris and Adam in the finals!!!!

 

I am going to say Adam and Danny although I want Kris to be there sooo bad!

I thought Adam was great ... I liked the beginning of One ... but didn't like it when he made it almost unrecognizable ...

Kris is the cutest thing ever ... i truly hope that he is announced as #2 tonight ...

Funny! When they announced it, I looked at my dh and said, "OMG..you know that lady on Twinstuff who loves Aerosmith...she has to be dying right now!" I told him to pass me over the laptop so I could see Kims response.

Didn't Simon pick a U2 song for David Cook last year too (I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For)? If I recall correctly (unless I'm thinking of another contestant), he did a great job on that song too. Even though Adam is a better singer than David Cook, I think David did a better job with U2 than Adam did (although I do think One was Adam's better song of the night last night)

Just the fact that Simon picked the song for Adam (and usually picks the song for the person who wins it all) shows you who the Idol powers that be want to win!

Did anyone download Whole Lotta Love by Adam. OMG it is GREAT!!!

I just downloaded One by Adam and have to say that I love it so much. Much better than the live performance.

Chrissy, of course I d/l it. It was, of course, fantastic. Actually ALL of his singles have been even better and more amazing than the live performances.

Cheryl, I need to thank you. Can I tell you how many times I have smiled and laughed at your take on some of what goes on on Idol? I find myself so often agreeing or saying, "Yes - that's it!" :lol: It's been most enjoyable experiencing Idol with you!

it's kind of what I expected, but I'm sad for him. This is the first year I would have been happy with any of the top 3 winning. They are all very talented and as we all know, you don't really need to win to make it big.

The only one close to making me cry was Kris' dad.

 

I'm happy - my wife was sad. Next week's finale could be the best finale the show has had since I've been watching at least. One reason I think Kris deserved it more than Danny is because he's younger and more musically talented (plays both the guitar and piano). I don't know if he writes his own songs too but I think both Adam and Kris could have amazing albums if given the right material (possibly Allison too down the road).

My only reaction tonight was what was with Katy Perry's Adam Lambert robe? And also, she cancelled a concert in Houston last night because she was sick. She didn't look under the weather to me tonight. Landry was watching the show and didn't like her outfit or the other dancers because you could see their boobies
