Slash said his album is big stars and him, sounds like a sort of Santana type thing.

I think he said he would have famous lead singers do the singing while he/his band played. He said he could not say who the lead singers would be yet.

 

OMG!!!!!!!!! I just realized that the 19th is the American Idol final and that is the night of Billy Joel/Elton John for me. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

You poor thing you will miss it because you are going to see two GREAT artists. No tears from me

DVR and get someone to call in votes for your favorite who does not usually watch or vote.

No, Slash doesn't sing. He's having guest singers on his solo cd.

Usually every season when I choose my pick out of the contestants, I can completely understand how others might like someone else better. I fail to see that this season. Adam is perfect in every way and there is just no comparison between him and Kris or Danny. I really like both of them as well but they are your average AI contestants. Adam is on an entirely different level vocally. I have not been disappointed yet in a performance of his and if you look back at the beginning of this thread, I have been loving him since the first time I saw him sing during auditions in Hollywood when he sang Bohemian Rhapsody. He just has a stellar voice, one of those rare gifts.

Chrissy, call Elton & Billy. I'm sure they'll accomodate your schedule and move the show for you.

I agree Kim, normally you can get down to the 2 contestants and see great talent in them both. This year however Adam is seasoned and amazing. From the way he performs, his eye contact, his voice everything. Kris is cute and will go far, Danny will fizzle.

Huge No Doubt fan here and I was disappointed with Gwen's performance. It seemed like she was singing an octave lower than normal.

I was bummed to see Alison go but thrilled for Kris.

Sometimes I feel it could be better being a runner up....

If Adam wins AI, do you think AI will stifle his creativity when it comes to putting together a CD?

Gwen didn't sound as great as she usually does but cut the girl some slack. She's had some time off to have babies and is just dipping her toe back into the water. She'll get back to her old self with some practice.

To answer your question, no I don't think anyone can stifle Adam's creativity, not even AI. He's the kind of artist you just cannot put in a box. If he wins, great, but I'm just thrilled to see him in the Top 3. I hope it comes down to him and one of the other guys but if it doesn't, he's going to be just fine. He's got the gift! :good:

 

I read on my Celebrity Gossip sites that the Anti Gay groups are circulating an email of Adam dressed in drag and kissing another man. Below all the pictures it says do you really want him as your next American Idol... Pretty Pathetic isn't it. I did read on a couple other sites (because I am a huge American Idol Nerd) that the end match up would more than likely be the Youth Minister and the Drag Queen, then mocked that match up. I sure wish people could just admire the genius that is offered by Adam and keep his private life out of it.

Dammit. This kind of stuff annoys the crap out of me! Does it really matter if he gays or not? He's an amazing performer ... I think that he would be an awesome American Idol! People suck.

I was sad to see Allison go, but SO happy to have Kris stay. He's really growing on me.

I love Danny, but I do think that Kris is probably more talented vocally.

This is a singing contest. It has nothing to do with a persons sexual preference, gender, economic standing, political affiliation, race or religion.

Adam was FANTASTIC!! I just love him lol. Looked very good tonight too.

Right does Kris bore the hell out of anyone else or is just me? Apart from being easy on the eye he doesnt do anything else for me, he just isnt interesting.

My EW magazine came in the mail today and Adam is on the cover!!!!!! Ok article but focused too much on is he or is he not question. Personally I don't care, I don't plan to date him and it doesn't effect his ability to sing. One thing they did mention was the fact that he has the ability to change his singing style to fit any song which I agree with, that makes him something special.

I also was sad to see Allison leave.

Seriously!! It SO COMPLETELY does not affect me. I hadn't been a Christina Aguilara fan until I saw her on ELLEN and saw what a production she put on. I bought tickets for her concert and was blown away by her talent and ability to put on a HELL OF A SHOW! (Dh was a fan)

So, there is WAY more to it for me than just singing. I really :wub: all of the final three, but really feel that Adam SHOULD win. I know there are others who disagree.....to that I say "VOTE!" :winking:

 

Last time I checked it was a singing competition and not a sexual orientation competition Pretty funny what people worry about. The one person that did not get Adams memo was the chick that ran up on stage during his Home Coming event in her bra and shorts and hugged him while he was singing Mad World.

 

Well, don't shot me, but I like Kris better than Danny, and I would much rather see him go forward with Adam AND.... I would prefer Kris overall. I know, I know, bring on the tomatoes! I can take the criticism because I have my anties: on!

 

I won't shoot you, Sarah, cuz I spent the better part of an hour Tuesday night alternating voting for Kris and Adam! They are both my favorites and I hope they are the final two. Danny is good, but the past few weeks he hasn't done as well as he did in the beginning. He's not versatile enough. And Allison has never been my cup of tea so no tears from me for her.

I can't wait for next week. I love the home-coming shows and the judges picks vs. the contestant picked songs.

"Waiting For the Wole to Change" or another John Mayer Song and if there is any justice in the world, someone will pick Queen for Adam.

How will they do it with four judges and three judge's pick songs? It always used to be one judge picking one song for one of the remaining three. I guess they'll have to do some kind of group decision this time around. I missed that fact. I did not know he was a youth minister. All I knew of him was he was a music teacher who lost his wife.

All I know about Adam is he was on Broadway. I know nothing about what Kris did before being on the show.

Still does not effect how I feel the winner should be determined. It should be the best singer/he who gets the most votes wins.

I wonder if all 4 judges will pick a song for the contestants then they will put them in a hat and draw. That would be interesting. I guess unless they all came to an agreement.

Paula is good times, I would love to know who dresses her and Kara. They have been a hot mess the past couple shows.
