Kim!!! How pumped are you...Allison is about to sing Aerosmith!

ETA- I love her but am not loving her tonight!

 

I cannot stand that Aerosmith song.....

 

*sigh* I friggin' love Adam. I thought Allison did pretty well, considering the song and how overdone it is.

not sure I like the guys movies but so far it seems he is the only one that has not soft stepped and poured praise on the idols. He is giving advice with heart and depth. I like what he has had to say so far to the idols.


Allison was missing something in her song tonight. She needed more feeling in the song imo Not great tonight.
Anoop I liked it.
Adam was great. I really like Steppenwolf. Made me search out the song
Matt sounded nice tonight. had heart. I like Brian Adams
Danny is handsome without those glasses. He sounded nice tonight but it was not an awesome performance.
Kris played it safe tonight. Not impressive.
Lil she killed that song and not in a good way

General impressions for me - why did almost everyone have to pick safe (boring) love songs? I'll steal Kim's thunder as I know she hates that Aerosmith song and I thought it was Allison's weakest performance in several weeks (still not worthy of being voted off, however). Anoop was better than Allison but again did a song I would prefer being retired from Idol.

Adam was cool but a little overboard. Still he almost was the best of the night. Matt was the worst of the night in my mind. Again, enough with the Bryan Adams! Danny took a tough song and had some pitch problems to my untrained ears although he did pick it up near the end. But another love ballad and I had been hoping for more from tonight after I had heard the theme. He should be safe though.

Kris was actually my favorite of the night. It's a beautiful song which I really don't know if I've heard since it surprisingly won the Academy Award for best song a few years ago. I didn't know it then but remember how impressed I was from the beauty of the song. And I thought his rendition was great - certainly the best in staying with the theme of the night. And the best love song of the night by far.

I had high hopes for Lil because she did pick a great song and could have nailed it. But she didn't. Maybe she should have done it all gospel, but I agree that she's in trouble. I'd put Matt and her in the bottom two tonight and Chris ahead of Adam at the top of just an okay evening of movie songs.

 

I missed Allison's performance.

I liked Anoop, Matt, Danny.

I didn't like Kris, Adam, Lil.

I am thinking Matt was definitely the worst tonight.

 

I like it when Idol makes you want to learn more about a song. Like last week with Adam's song from Donnie Darko (the Tears for Fears song) or with a few songs last year from either of the David's.

Me either, Chrissy!! Aerosmith fans actually requested the band NOT perform it live any more because 90% of us cannot stand it! :lol:

ADAM -- he cannot be beat! He is fantastic. Very Sebastian Bach again tonight!! He is Born to Be Wild and I am born to buy his CD!!

I also liked Anoop and I really liked Matt. Kris was good too. Lil can go home NOW. She has been such a disappointment. Who am I forgetting? ETA: Danny! Guess he was forgettable tonight. I really like the timbre of his voice but lately he's sort of boring me.)

I agree...Lil is a huge disappointment, I really expected so much more from her the whole season. How she lasted this long is beyond me. Matt also disappointed me big time, and Danny needs to step it up too. I am pleasantly surprised by Kris more and more each week. Adam and Allison continue to be my favorites.

 

Seriously, Adam is the MAN!!! He has brought a whole new life to the contest this year. Last year David really made the contest different but ADAM WOW!!!

Allison was good tonight and so was Anoop. I also really really liked Kris.

Matt can go and so can Danny, just not a fan of either of them. I thought Dannys performance was totally wedding performance cheese (but so is that song). Lil used to be so good, what happened to her.

No kidding! I wait every week just to see what he is goiing to bring. I loved David Cook and Chris Daughtry too (a lot!) but Adam just blows everyone off that stage!! Vocally he is so far above the rest -- seriously he has got that Sebastian Bach thing (and if anyone knows Sebastian he has that same brilliant rock voice) but then he can go all tender and just amazing on me. I cannot say enough good things about his voice!!

 

He has the most amazing range I've ever heard, especially on Idol. He just has talent that completely overshadows anyone else I've ever seen on the show...comparable only to David Cook in my opinion (and I was a HARDCORE fan of DC).

 

No doubt about it, Jessie, that boy was made to SING!!

 

He also reminds me of Robert Plant in his tone.

You are very right there....some people were just born to be in the spotlight, and he's one of them.

 

Ok, what I LOVE about American Adam - er Idol - is ADAM!

As much as I dislike seeing his tongue, I LOVE the anticipation of what he's going to do week after week. His 2 mins. is a glimpse into a SHOW! The rest of the contestants are talented to be sure, but he USES THE WHOLE STAGE!! (I thought Ricky Minor might have a seizure tonight with the strobes goin' :lol: )

Allison is the ONLY other contestant that moved off of a spot! That's driving me crazy!!! Do SOMETHING UP THERE!!!!!

Kris was wonderful - in spite of not having a clue about the song!! The rest were forgettable.

My top 3 - Adam, Allison and Kris (Matt is 4)

 

I think I'm with Craig and the others tonight. Adam was good but I just don't like his Axl Rose style as much as I like his other stuff. Most of the ballads to me were so-so. We've heard others do them better.

Kris was my favorite tonight because as Craig said, it's a song you don't hear much but one that could be on the radio more.

I had high hopes for Lil. I thought she started off well but it just turned into a train wreck near the end. Gorgeous song but it deserved better, especially in the 'pimp' position as they call it (last singer of the night).

I hope Matt and Lil are in the bottom two but I think Kris, Allison and Anoop are in danger just because of past voting trends.

 

I have to admit, I love Adam, but he has to be carefu as he sometimes borders on cheesedom, IMO. He has an amazing voice and I know he has a theatre background, but sometimes it's just a little too much for me. He is probably the most polished AI performer ever, though.

I never used to notice much about Kris, but I loved his rendition tonight. He is really very talented.

My prediction for bottom 3: Anoop (because of personality), Matt, and Lil with Lil heading home.

 

Dial Idol has Kris, Matt, and Allison in bottom three with Kris going home I don't think Kris would ever win Idol but it will be sad to see him go if that is true.

Shockingly Dial Idol actually has Lil above Adam with most votes Kim did your fingers get tired?????

Kris does not deserve to go home. He was very good last night. He is really hit or miss. Lil should be going home tonight, not Kris.

 

Man I really like Lil and she can sing! But she keeps picking the wrong songs week after week!

 

Ok, maybe it's the pregnancy hormones, but I bawled the entire time Danny was singing. I just knew he was singing that song to his wife, and I couldn't stop crying. DH was laughing at me.

I will be SO sad if Kris goes home. Lil deserves to. She stinks.

ETA: If Kris gets the boot, I bet they save him. They aren't allowed to use the save when there are only 5 left ... so it's either this week or next week I think ...

 

I do not watch Idol, so I have a question...what is so sad about him singing to his wife???

She died about a month or two before he auditioned for the show!

Allison- I didn't like her singing at all last night. I'm not a fan of hers to begin with, but that was just awful (and I actually LIKE that Aerosmith song, which I know Kim knows! LOL :hug: ). I can't believe that Simon really liked it? Huh? We're usually on the same page...

Anoop - I thought was very good, better than his usual

Adam- Well, amazing as ever! So incredible every week.

Matt- He did okay. I LOVE that song and he can't compare to Bryan Adams, but at least he didn't slaughter it.

Danny- He IS pretty cute without the specs, isn't he? I liked his performance.

Kris- I thought was very good. I sincerely hope he doesn't go home. I enjoy watching him every week.

Lil- eh. I don't really care for her too much anyway so if she's goes home I won't be sad.

I didn't like having the same pair of judges critiquing each time. It should rotate, does anyone agree? You know like Simon/Paula, then Simon/Randy, then Randy/Kara, then Kara/Paula? JMHO

Danny did look cute without the specs!!

I also hope that Kris doesn't go home! (they might save him!)

I liked Allison - alot. I think she did a great job with the song.

Adam was his usual amazing self.

Kris, Danny & Matt were all so-so.

Send Lil home. That song is so amazing, and she could have done really well with it. I just don't think she has star quality.

 

Maybe they'll keep Lil around a lil' longer so she can participate in the week when the judges pick the contestants song.

Maybe then they'll like what she sings!
