Obama is obviously an AI fan witnessed by his Simon Cowell reference last week on Leno. I guess he figures if the remaining 10 contestants had another nigh of practice they can get their Motown songs down pat. I'm thinking a guy will be next to go, either Scott or the Texan oil-rig dude.

 

I hope you are right Craig!! (NICE NEW STARS!!!) Michael is being carried by the country music fans and Scott just isn't strong enough!!!

Oh I am a Megan Joy lover and even I thought it was awful. Totally wrong song for her. :bad: Michael really sucked too.

 

I have to say I was impressed with Anoop, Kris and Matt. They sounded nice

I did not like Megan, Scott, lil or Michael. Megan picked the wrong song, Scott just bored me, Lil was horrible and Michael was bad.

Looking forward to the last 3.

 

How much do I love ADAM LAMBERT????? That was AMAZING!! He is far and away the best vocalist of the group. Fan-freakin'-tastic!!!!!!!!!

Wow, Allison. Man, I cannot believe that she is only 16 with a voice like that. She is fabulous!!

Adam, Allison, Anoop, Danny and Matt were all fantastic. I think Michael, Megan Joy, and Scott should be the bottom three. I sincerely hope Megan Joy is safe only because I do NOT want to have to hear that song again. :bad:

Wow, Adam and Allison. Those two. I just can't get over either of them. Absolutely fantastic!!

Yes -- I said the same thing. Well, not Holy Tomatoes, Batman, lol, but he looks like Elvis. :lol: And man, what a voice. I am on the Adam bandwagon and am riding it ALL the way to the top!! He is too good for this competition.

I totally agree!!

My favs tonight were Allison, Matt and Adam(yes, I, me, liked Adam, he really played it up with his look and everything). I liked Anoop a lot, Danny could have done better, but I don't think he'll go home, I liked Lil, too.

I did not like Megan's performance at all tonight!!! It was awful.

 

Scott is UN-FLAKIN' believable on the PIANO, but I just don't care for his nasaly voice!

Do you think he is one that would do better with a win or 2nd place?

I don't know that I can see him actually making albums but I can totally see him on Broadway and going far with it.

 

How is it possible that Megan Joy is COMPLETELY LACKING in Rhythm!!!?!?! Her outfits don't match what she does with her hair or her tat's!

Megan Joy is just a free spirit. Everything about her is nonconformist. But she totally sucked tonight. Her lack of training is showing, I'm afraid. She does well with the jazzy riffs and runs. This song was totally wrong for her. Very disjointed. Now what is VFW?????

I am not a "tat' lover but for some reason on her it does not even come to my thoughts. It's almost like it or they are not even there.I also like that she does not dress to match with them kind of the way Carly did. I have to agree that tonight her hair did not go with her outfit and neither her hair or outfit went with the song choice. I agree with Simon she needs to get rid of her stylist

 

How funny was Simon drawing on Paula LOL.

I loved Allison and Adam. He totally was throwing off the Zac Efron vibe tonight. Everyone else should not have bothered.

Watching Danny is just like watching Taylor Hicks to me, I liked Taylor but can only take 1 of him. I totally expected Lil to do better.


Tonight was Adams night!!! He is the total package. Allison rocks too.

Megan is a pretty girl and all and maybe I'm just showing my age, but having a two-foot long tattoo on her arm is just a little distracting for me. If she makes it one more week (and I actually hope she doesn't although agree with everyone else thus far that the bottom three at this point have to be Michael, Megan and Scott) would it kill her to cover up the darn thing for one song?

Tonight was Adam's night (again) with Allison, Matt and Chris in a top four that was heads-and-shoulders above the rest of the singers. Lil better step it up or she won't make it much farther. I think Danny is well-liked enough to keep going, but he needs better performances than tonight too. Anoop was fine, but he's just biding time too.

All in all, I really liked the music tonight. Motown is just a great theme and I'll be anxious to see Stevie Wonder perform tomorrow night (and also to hear Smokey Robinson). Oh, and I'm fine with Kara too. Although someone better teach her how to count (that's eight words - the same # that are in 'one of the best performances of the night'), my twins immediately corrected her and said that's eight words, not six!

I cannot wait for Stevie and Smokey. Smokey was great and even gave Adam a standing O. Good for him! Of course, how could you not? And you're right, Motown was a great theme. Lil should have knocked one out of the ballpark this week but she was eh, so so. I thought it was very rushed also like Randy said. So far she has not let her light shine very well. Disappointing.

 

Devon and I were both like, "that is 8 words" LOL.

Is anyone else here absolutely blown away by Allison?? I do love Adam and Matt, definitely...but Allison kinda takes my breath away...she's AMAZING for only being 16 years old. I'm agreeing with whoever suggested who the top 4 will be, except for Kris. I'm honestly not impressed by him yet. He's this year's David Archuleta for me.

 

OK, I have watched and rewatched Adam several times now as well. He is so amazing!!!!

I must share my dream with you all. After last week's performance by Adam (which I also loved and downloaded from iTunes -- fantastic!), I dreamed I was back at my grandmother's farm house, which I have not been in since I was 7. Very vivid details. My grandmother (who has been dead for almost 20 years) was upstairs in her bedroom watching American Idol. So I was sitting on the edge of her bed talking it over with her, when out of the corner of my eye in the other bed (this was a big old farmhouse with gigantic bedrooms and there were two beds in the room), I look and there is Adam Lambert, in full costume from the Ring of Fire performance, lying in bed, hands behind his head, feet crossed just staring at the ceiling. So I continue talking with my grandma, all the while looking at Adam, wondering why he is there. Suddenly Kat McPhee is in bed with him, also fully dressed in performance clothes, and they start dishing about the AI experience. It was all so bizarre! :lol:

 

Um no more AI or alcohol for you Kim.
