"Amelia" kept slamming a toy into the glass sliding door and I kept asking her to stop. She kept it up so I put her in timeout...meanwhile sister comes to sit in my lap and I do a double take, realizing this is Amelia and I've been calling Lily "Amelia" the whole time and now everyone is confused.

Since they were 9 months old we've had their ears pierced with different earrings. Saturday at the pool we lost two earrings so we removed all earrings from ears. I wasn't aware of how much I've come to rely on those earrings to tell who is who. I feel bad b/c I'm their mom and I keep calling them the wrong names!

I'm getting some new earrings for them ASAP.

Too funny  This might make you feel a bit better, sometimes I call Luke "Sophia" and vice versa!

Hun, at least they ARE identical and have an excuse. The boys I have now are 16mths apart - the younger is large for his age so they are the same size, hair color and from the back it can be difficult to tell who's who (faces are much more different). I haev MORE than once scolded Kieran for a behavior only to have him turn around and go "oh crud!" its Treyce! LOL

I look forward to moments like that when my duo are born if they are indeed identical. I'm going to have them - if I can't even tell my singleton boys apart! LOL

Earrings...what am I gonna do? I don't plan on piercing my boys' ears.

Great story though! You have to have a few stories like that. :)

 Too funny! I can't blame you though - your girls really do look a lot alike!

I call my boys the wrong names sometimes, but usually because my brain can't get the right name out fast enough. I blame it on their names being similar (Jack and Jake).

Ha! I tend to just call them both "Sarallie" until I can get a better look :)

 That is really funny. Mine are not id, we have Ayden Jackson and Bryant Charles. The other day my DH was correcting Bryant and called him Bryant Jackson (his brother's middle name). It was funny to see his reaction.

I made little bracelets out of emboidery floss for my girls. Chloe wears a purple one and Cassidy's is pink. Even I am confused without them! lol

What a cute story Aimee. At least you have the excuse of them looking alike. I call my girls the wrong names all the time and they are about as frat as you can get.
