    Hi ladies!!!
I thought I'd post in here as my girls are almost 1 now. Good luck to all of you - it's going to be great and hard and totally worth it. Anyway, my girls are very healthy but I just hear about an acquaintance who had a problem and I wanted to share so everyone would be really careful. She was having a singleton and was scheduled for a Csection on a Wednesday w/ a scheduled ultrasound the day before on Tues. Well, on Mon night, she felt him kicking a TON - thought it was weird, but that he was ready to come out. The next day they did the u/s and couldn't find the heartbeat. Emergency c-section led to still born baby boy. She was scheduled to have him the next day!!! I can't stop thinking about how awful it is. Anyway, the cord was extra long, was wrapped around his neck and they think he was strugging the night before. I think this is very rare but I just wanted to pass it along so everyone pays attention to everything that happens in your body. You know your body better than anyone and if you think there even might be a problem - go to the hospital!!!
I hope I'm not scaring anyone - most of the time everything's fine. It just broke my heart and I don't want it to happen to any of you.

On a lighter note - good luck to everyone - it's going to be a wild ride , but as the girls approach their first bday I think it's been the absolute best of my life.

    :)

That is so awful! I am sorry your friend is going through that. Poor thing, now in her next pregnancy she is going to be scared at every kick! I hope she makes it through this okay. My heart and prayers goes to her!

Aimee, thanks for stopping by. That is so sad that your friend is going through that. :cray: That happened to my DH's cousin and his wife last year as well. So sad, I will keep your friend in my thoughts. :hug99:

You gave some good advice though, we know our bodies best and definitely trust your instincts. :)

That is awful. My heart goes out to her, I couldn't imagine carrying a baby full term and then to have that happen just two days before.

You make a good point though, you can't be too careful.

    That's so sad! :(

I knew a girl who went through that as well - she wasn't nearly as far along, but she had noticed that her son was extremely active the day before she had a 3D u/s scheduled (at 27 weeks) and by the time the u/s came around, there was nothing else they could do for him :(

I just want to add that a really active baby does not mean that there is always something wrong. I think posting this in an expecting forum is kind of a bit much. I am sure you didn't do this to be mean but I am sure you have scared a lot of the women here unnecessarily. Yes, follow your intuition if you think something might be wrong but please try not to worry that something awful will happen if your baby is having an active day.
    Good luck all!
