I was going through my coupons lastnight, and I have a coupon for the baby yogurt. Since it's made with whole milk do I have to ask my pedi first? I asked when can we switch to whole milk and he said start at eleven months, and gradually do it until they are a year.

I would check with your Ped. We got the green light at 9 months for Tyler. Derek had a milk allergy so we had to hold off for him.

You can start yogurt and cheese earlier than plain milk -- they are easier to digest. If your babies don't have a milk allergy (which you would know from a reaction to formula or to your breastmilk after you have dairy products), it's usually considered OK at 9 months -- you could ask your ped just to be sure.

We started at 7 months, we never asked my pediatrician. It's usually pasteurized so much easier to digest.

My pedi actually recommended 'YoBaby' yogurt. It's all natural and organic and is good for them too!

We started yogurt at 8 or 9 months. My two were on soy formula, but didn't seem to have a problem with yogurt.

Yogurt is one of the first foods my singleton's got, after cereal. They loved the yoplait whips before bed! Probably around 6-7 months but it's been awhile!
