So the pediatrician gave the go on feeding the girls yogurt. He said stick to the "plain, no-added sugar and full fat kind."
I mentioned Yo-Baby and he said yes, that's good.

However, when I went to buy the Yo-Baby, they didn't have a plain kind. The one I picked is the "banana" and "vanilla."
I looked on the back and it said 12 grams of sugar (from natural milk sources) and I picked up the Dannon plain yogurt and it also had 12 grams of sugar.

So, my question: is the banana Yo-Baby ok to give for the first yogurt or should I have bought the Dannon plain?
I just sort of like the fact that the Yo-Baby is organic. And, they had the same sugar.

    Thanks everyone!

My boys have loved Yo Baby since the day they first had it. It was the only one I could find at my store that was whole milk (and not the big size). Go for it!

BTW: The blueberry smells just like the Strawberry Shortcake character Blueberry Muffin! (hope I didn't just date myself terribly)

Mine LOVE YoBaby! We've tried vanilla, banana, peach and pear! I haven't tried the Dannon plain but I try everything before I give it to my babies...YoBaby is delish!!!!

We always used the Yo-baby kind, all of the different flavors. I've also seen organic whole milk plain yogurt at the store, and that will have less sugar in it.

I would give them the yo-baby banana or vanilla. My girls love those!

I used to give Yo-baby...but, now I just buy plain, organic, whole milk yogurt and mix in my own fruits. It's cheaper, plus it doesn't have those extra sugars in it.

We have the Yo Baby plain flavor here in our Whole Foods store, so they do have the plain. It is the same as buying whole milk organic yogurt but the yo baby is nice b/c it is in the individual serving size, although much more expensive!!! My guys love the stuff we have also had the apple/banana yo baby and they love that too but it definitely has more sugar!

I refuse to pay that much for Yo Baby, so I buy a brand called La Yogurt in the whole milk variety and mix fruits in it also. I usually mix blue berries and apples/pears.

    The boys love it.

We are a Yo-Baby family. The kids really like all of their flavors.

I've used YoBaby when there wasn't any of the plain whole milk organic available. Otherwise I buy that and just add 1/3 of a fruit jar or something.

My kids love Yo-Baby. They would eat some at every meal if I let them. But DS can only have yogurt once or twice a week. If he has it more he gets a yeast rash. (Just something to look out for.) He's not allergic, but it messes with the natural levels of yeast in his system. The ped said that he'll probably out grown the problem when he's potty trained and not in diapers anymore.

We use the yo-baby too. Haven't found a flavor my boy's don't like.
