Just wondering if anyone else gives there little ones yogurt and what kind? I read somewhere I should give them non- non fat yogurt. When I went to the store to find some, everysingle yogurt thing says 99% fat free ect.. Does this make sense, anyone know what iam talking about?

    thanks misty

We give our girls yo baby yogurt. It's made with whole milk and it's organic. Just make sure you avoid the kind with raspberries and strawberries - accidentally bought this kind the first time not realizing they couldn't have those berries yet. My girls love peach, pear, banana and vanilla.

We use the Yo Baby, too - it's made by Stonyfield Farm. They loooooooooove it. It's the only thing I cannot shovel into them quickly enough for their liking! Just make sure whatever you get is whole milk, and I prefer organic. Horizon is another organic brand to look for. Have fun!

I just started giving my girls yogurt. I give them the Yo Baby yogurt also, and they just love it.

If you feel adventurous you can make your own yogurt with whole milk. They sell yogurt makers and I happen to know from experience you can make yogurt in a cooler, an oven and a clothes dryer. [IMG]

My pedi says they can have it as young as 6 months. [IMG] I prefer to wait until they're 7-8 months myself.

I just got the okay to start yogurt today (and cheese). So I'm going to buy the Stonyfield Farms yobaby yogurt. It is always right in with the other yogurt at our store.

We are going to try it in a couple of weeks. We are in the middle of weaning off of hypoallergenic formula right now and if that goes well in the next 2 weeks we will try yogurt.
