    Hi there!

We had a very busy day yesterday starting with an ultrasound @1:00 when we found out we are having 2 BOYS! What a surprise! We really had expected one of each since our daughter had predicted we were having 2 and then predicted a brother and a sister. We are excited about it, but my daughter still doesn't believe it!

Everything looked good, and we think we found the cause of the pressure! It seems that baby A has decided that his place is nestled right between my hip bone and pelvic bone! While baby B is right between my belly button and ribs! I had thought that might be the case since I feel kicks and movement in those areas, but the pressure is pretty unbearable at times... Especially while sleeping! The ultrasound tech did say that they looked great. They are measuring 21W 1D & 21W 0D which is right on target. She said that she didn't see anything that she was concerned about which is great news!

We went right from there to our doctor... I left still feeling quite unimpressed with my doctor who spent a total of 4 minutes with me... She let the med student find the heartbeats with the doppler, and although it was obvious to me that he simply found the same heartbeat twice rather than two seperate heartbeats, it was not clear to either he or my doctor!!! Since I had just come from the ultrasound I knew exactly where they were and he listened to Baby A and then moved the doppler about 3 inces to the right thinking he found Baby B... :umm:

I also had my 1 hour Glucose Screening. I didn't really expect to since I haden't been told when I scheduled the appointment. I am sort of expecting that I will need to do the 3 hour since I didn't pass when I was pregnant with my daughter. I asked if that had any bearing on wheather I would pass this time, but she didn't know. She did say that if I didn't hear by mid afternoon then I passed. So, I guess I will keep my fingers crossed. They said that they would be testing again at 28 weeks as well...

From there we went to a Multiples class. It was nice to see other moms going through the same things and it was a great chance for me to talk to them about their doctors and how they were feeling about their care. I was shocked to hear what they are recieving in comparison to what I have gotten from my doctor. I haven't even gotten a list of foods that I shouldn't eat from my OB and many of them are getting weekly appointments and packets of information at each stage of thier pregnancy including a guideline for foods to eat ect! I have 3 calls in to new doctors already! If anyone is wondering if the class is worth it I definately thought so! I think it was the forst time that my husband had really heard any information about pregnancy with more than one baby which I think will be helpful for the rest of my pregnancy.

Sorry for such a long post!

Congratulations on 2 boys! We just found out last week that we're having boys as well. And glad to hear that they are both measuring fine. That was such a relief for me since I didn't have any screening tests done earlier in the pregnancy.

Sorry though to hear about your doctor. I can't say that mine does a lot more than yours (I certainly don't get packets of info at every stage, etc. that you described from the moms in your multiples class) but I like her and feel that she's very competent. Plus, I'll soon start rotating through the other doctors in the practice in order to make sure that I've met them all before delivery (that way I'll at least know who delivers these babies).

Good luck on your new doctor search.

Congrats on finding out the genders.

Sorry to hear about the doc. Definitely see if you can find another one if you are uncomfortable. I certainly did not receive any packets of instructions on what to eat or what not to eat but I was perfectly happy with the care I was receiving and that is huge as you progress in your pregnancy.

congrats on boys...my dd predicted that we would have a boy and a girl..and she was right! She was only 15 months at the time!! And this time around she predicted a girl...and she was right again... hmmm....

sorry about the lame doctor. I always had to tell my doctor/nurses exactly where to position the doppler to find the two heartbeats....otherwise they did the same thing.. duh....

Congratulations on your boys! I am having boys. I already have one boy so i was kind of wanting a girl in there some where, but hey as long as they are healthy i don't care either way. I have heard that boys are alot cheaper! :) We will see about that.

Congratulations on your boys! I never took a multiples class, sounds interesting! I hope you find a doc that you are comfortable with.
