    Hi gals,

I am 8 weeks 4 days pregnant NATURALLY after having IVF twins. The twin pregnancy went off without a hitch but this pregnancy - EEEKS! I feel sick and tired and now I am pretty sure I have a yeast infection from too much "interference" down there. I had some spotting last week and there was a lot of "swiping" around in there. (turns out I have some blood pooled in my cervix but Doc says it's normal and the best possible position for that sort of thing... thats another story :))

HOW CAN I Resolve this yeast infection? What did you do?

    Thanks!

Sorry about the yeast infection. You can use the OTC yeast infection creams like monistat, just like before pregnancy. I am not sure what kinds are better or work better. I hope you find some relief soon.

COngrats on your pregnancy, what a miracle!!

Thanks Becca - it sure is a MIRACLE! We are over the moon happy!

So your Doctor told you it was okay? That's great. I looked all over the internet and all I saw was "Go to your Doctor". As if I want to drag the kids to the medical clinic for a little thing like yeast infection.

I just wanted to make sure it was safe before I used the OTC creams. As usual I knew you gals could help. I said to my husband "I'm just going to go ask the girls... they always know the answer :)"

    Thanks! Have a great day!

Congrats from another IVF'er who turned natural! :) I know how much of a blessing that is! I have been having reoccurring yeast infections and so I've talked to many doctors. I would do the monistat 7 day treatment! Yeast infections are hard to get rid of when you are pregnant and that is what is recommended.. the lower dosage, but the full week of treatment! I hope you don't get them reoccuring like I have had. You can also try avoiding dairy. Acidiphilus is a pill you can take to help. It is a pill form of what you find in yogurt (which you can also eat!). Good luck!

One thing is you can not use the 1 or 3 day treatment. I don't know why but my doctor said you can only use the 7 day. Congrats!!
